Kicking it at the University of Oklahoma. I like writing, science, almost all forms of music (literally), creating constructed languages, graphic/visual arts, and a good book. I will not hesitate in saying I am a Christian and I am proud to be an American.

If you met him on the street, Miles would probably seem quite tangible. This is a common misconception, and the writer would like to gently remind the reader that he does not actually, as such, exist. And also calmly suggests that you should probably discontinue the practice of talking to your hallucinations in public.

“I am a writer, and I will write the words that change the world. Because of me, the world will be changed. But I will not be remembered, nor do I long for such. Because somebody had to write them, and it didn’t have to be me.”

I love sci-fi, horror, fantasy and everything in between… Always had these little scenes and vignettes in my head and now maybe I can “clear out the attic a little” – so to speak. Hope you enjoy, and if ya don’t, hell, I enjoyed getting them out there!

PS. Feel free to write prequels and sequels to anything of mine…

These Ficly scribblings are hardly fickle, sometimes fictional, and often based on actual events, but rarely told exactly as they actually occurred. Strap in and prepare to follow narrative bread crumbs down a rabbit hole deeper into my mad mind than most have dared to tread.

Beyond that, I wanted to get back in the habit of writing fiction instead of reports or specifications. At least until I win the lottery.

Wow. I’ve been gone for awhile. Life has sort of taken over and my writing has withered along with the leaves on the trees. I feel I should have forced the writing when I felt less than inspired, but those days also seemed overwhelming in so many ways, so I stayed away. I think today is the day I would like to dust off the keyboard and begin the journey once more to find and hone my voice. I can only hope that there are some who will stick with me as I make my way back towards the literary world.

I’m a 24-year-old reporter working at a small-town newspaper in the Pacific Northwest. I want to stretch my writing chops just a wee bit, hence the interest in this site.

I’m a skeptic, atheist and self-proclaimed lover of dinosaurs and 1950’s sci-fi movies. I imagine all of those themes will eventually make into the stories I write here.
