J. A. Keane has spent the majority of his 19 years trying to act like a somewhat normal member of modern society, but seeing as nobody else seems to be acting normal these days (which basically makes the entire concept of “normality” redundant and nothing but a bad joke (my inner Comedian-from-Alan-Moore’s-“Watchmen” talking there)), he has decided to give up on that, and continue along his path of random offbeat-ness.
When he’s not doing that, he also likes to write long-winded rants on Tumblr, miniature rants on Twitter, medium sized rants on Facebook, and adamantly refuses to use LOLspeak (as he finds it annoying, and believes that it’s a slightly differentiated (but not THAT much, really, if you think about it) form of Newspeak).
And when he’s not doing any of that, he likes to write exaggerated biographies that are intended to make him sound more interesting than he actually is.
And after all that, he also really likes to end his website biographies on a joke.

I dabble a little in a lot of things — writing, webcomics, gaming, photography, web design, music, and more. I’m a full-time code-wrangler and a part-time farmer with 40 acres, a lot of animals, and far, far too much to do.

Hey guys. I’m around here every now and again.
I write my stories at 3 AM.
Ficly is nifty, you’re all cool cats.
Bring on the comments, I eat them for breakfast.
I always try to challenge myself. I often bite off more than I can chew.
I’m a multi-dimensional being so sometimes my tenses will be kerfuffed.
I don’t rate anymore because I have concluded that I don’t know what I’m talking about. -
I can never think of anything to put for my Bio so I’ll keep it short and sweet.
I’m Adam, I’m from Cornwall in SW England. Currently doing Engineering at Exeter Uni. I need something to get my creativity out so here I am.

I write a lot. Escapism or creative outlet? Well, it’s hard to say.
Since Ficly hides it, I joined on the 7th March, 2010.
Since I’ve taken a fair few long breaks, that equates out to only 0.2 ficlies a day – it takes me 5 days to write a story with < 1024 characters! I’ll have to do better.

The pen is mightier than the sword. How outdated. In the 1900’s, it would have been, “The typewriter is mightier than the machine gun.” But in modern times? “The word processor is mightier than the particle-beam weapon.”
I play video games, build things with Legos, and try to kid myself into thinking that I’m mature. I love dorking around with computers and I have a strange obsession with hats – nice ones, that is, no baseball caps. My dream is to either become a Masterbuilder or a drummer, and neither seem very close. Such is life.
Since joining Ficly, I’ve come to realize that I love playing off of other people’s work, reshaping their ideas to form some coherent things. Half my stories come either from challenges or from hitting the “Random Story” button and writing a sequel (I highly recommend this, the things that you’ll find are amazing!).

Hello, I’m Harrison Golden. I am a retired papaya salesman who has decided to become a full-time writer. I know. You might think my decision to do this is a bit of a stretch from a previous career, but in reality, papayas are not at all different from short stories. They are both colorful and beautiful (if prepared correctly) and, most importantly, they both taste great with marmalade.

I ain’t a writer right now, and I probably wont be one in the future, but I sure as hell enjoy the act of writing. I’ve only just started writing in the past few years, and even then have only produced short stories and shorter stories. I haven’t taken any classes, or learned from any one source, but I read a lot.
I take from what I read, and learn from the authors on my shelf. They’re the ones who’ve taught me to write, and I’ll never stop reading and learning. My writings are sporadic, my posting of stories even more so, and I don’t ever hope to be published, much less make it a full time job, but I enjoy it. So I guess I won’t ever stop writing either.

Beneath the regular writers sits a young girl, pen trembling in her hand. She tries to put words on paper, but nothing comes out but painfully choppy verse. She drops the pen, looking up at the regulars in their creative glory. She sees many people she’d take a bullet for, but cannot stifle the envy toward. She remembers when she was a shining example of what a writer should be, but that time is long since gone. She lays her notebook down and draws her legs under her, praying for inspiration.
Feedback makes my heart race.

I’m an Australian student, finishing my final year of high school. I enjoy a good read, and like to try my hand at writing as well, but I never found a great outlet until now! Writing has always been an interest for me, but gaming is my true passion.

Greetings, programs of Ficly!
Somewhat paradoxically, I am simultaneously new – and not new – here; formerly, I was on this site under the handle of “J.A. Keane” from the start of 2010, up ‘til mid-to-late 2012. Things would have merrily continued that way…if it weren’t for the malfunction that wound up with me being unable to log back onto here with my Facebook account (oh, technology!), so henceforth I have returned like a fine-feathered phoenix from the flames (albiet with considerably less spectacle) to start anew.
However, if you’d like to see the sort of stuff I did before on my old account, you can take an inquisitive gander herein:

Be seeing you…
