Dr. Tim’s Neurotic Rules of Ficly Life
[Disclaimer: This is not intended to be binding nor in any way an expectation of general members of Ficly, league members, family members or wearers of Member’s Only jackets]
1. Comment to Story posting ratio must exceed 5:1. Goal is 10:1. In other words, I write a story then find five others (at least) upon which to comment before writing another.
2. For every solo shot or sequel of my own material, I must write a sequel or prequel to the work of another author. If I’m going easy on myself, participating in a challenge also fulfills this requirement.
3. If someone comments on one of my stories, I go find one of theirs upon which to comment. It only seems fair, and I like to think it encourages commenting.
4. Awesomeness is the goal, always. Call me on it when I fail, please.
5. Clearly mark mature content and err on the side of caution.
6. Golden Rule remains in effect for all sequels, prequels, and comments.

Writer, teacher, & hopeless romantic with a penchant for falling for fictional characters.

I’ve been unfortunately dormant for the last few weeks (or months), so it’s your responsibility to yell at me and make me write. Yours, not mine. I’ll do the best I can, but really, it’s up to you.
If you comment my stuff, please be as nit-picky as necessary. I crave constructive criticism. Also alliteration.
If you want to start a series with me, drop a note! Remember to comment on everything, rate, and use the Random Story button at the bottom of the page.
Warning: Shameless Plug Ahead Had around 570 ficlets on the old site—you can read ’em through the link above if you like.

This time, it’s mostly Jason’s fault. He’s the one who convinced me that we couldn’t just leave well enough alone. He got the designers to donate their time, and wrote all the HTML, CSS and 95% of the javascript. I did the models and controllers. Nope, we couldn’t just let it go. We had to try it again.

Finally back after a much too lengthy sabbatical.
Hopefully you’ll all remember me. And if not, I hope to be remembered.

Was a Ficleteer… Then a Protagonizt… Still a Protagonizt, but feeling very Ficly once again…

I’m just this guy, you know?

Beneath the regular writers sits a young girl, pen trembling in her hand. She tries to put words on paper, but nothing comes out but painfully choppy verse. She drops the pen, looking up at the regulars in their creative glory. She sees many people she’d take a bullet for, but cannot stifle the envy toward. She remembers when she was a shining example of what a writer should be, but that time is long since gone. She lays her notebook down and draws her legs under her, praying for inspiration.
Feedback makes my heart race.
If you don’t like the limit, go to Protagonize.

Aurelia is battling a quarter-life crisis with the help of Ficly and a lot of coffee. She is launching into the abyss of a new career as a (sexy) academic librarian, and working it all out in just 1024 characters.

I am a semi-professional writer, my writings have appeared in Ray Gun Revival, Distant Worlds, and Alienskin Magazines.
I mostly write Science Fiction but I dabble in horror and and other stuff.
With the short-short challenge of this site, who knows what I will come up with. -
I’ll add more to this later…or make it make sense later. I’m an Aquarius and my favorite color is purple. I grew up with at least two dogs and a cat around at all times. I’m originally from Maryland. My friends and family are all amazing people. I wouldn’t have made it through so much without them. My sense of humor was also crucial. I tend towards rather dorky interests but am ok with that. At the moment, I don’t think I’ve gotten over my quarter-life crisis.
For many years now, I haven’t been writing as much as I’d like. I discovered I wanted writing to be a part of my life in high school. After college, I became so focused on finding a job and starting a career that writing got put on the back burner. I also realized that I was writing the same story over and over and over again. So between those factors, and the usual amount of stress that fresh-out-of-college life causes, I find myself not writing a whole lot. I’d like to change that. I’d like to change a lot of things I think.

I love action stories, but am slowly coming to like romance too. I often will use emoticons in comments so I do look unproffesional but I am actually an avid reader. My love life is just as random as my stories and it’s had a share of tragedy, but this trooper carries on. Fave Authors: John Scalzi, David Michaels, Piers Anthony

In ficly I’ve discovered a medium of writing that’s quick, expressive, and just restricted enough to be a wonderful challenge. I love it!

Well, I’m emily zerod. I come from Ficlets and Protagonize. I do nanowrimo and script frenzy every year now. I’m almost 14 and finally in high school. I like to write from experience, but I do make up my stories. They’re about real people but most of these scenarios haven’t happened. As much as I love writing I’m more interested in hanging with The Group around our neighborhoods, so I probably won’t be writing twelve hundred new stories everyday. Sorry. That’s about it. Wanna know anything else you can message, comment or even AIM: zer0dinosauruss. By the way since it doesn’t seem to be working the first “o” in that is actually the number “zero.” I have officially decided that i hate it when people find one thing wrong with a story, poem, song, etc, and give it a low rating for that one thing.

I’m an anglophile history buff who loves genealogy, going to movies, my cat, and day trips to fairs, the ocean, historical sites, and casinos. I’d way rather eat out than in. Chilis for corn on the cob and burgers anyone?
