This time, it’s mostly Jason’s fault. He’s the one who convinced me that we couldn’t just leave well enough alone. He got the designers to donate their time, and wrote all the HTML, CSS and 95% of the javascript. I did the models and controllers. Nope, we couldn’t just let it go. We had to try it again.

Dr. Tim’s Neurotic Rules of Ficly Life
[Disclaimer: This is not intended to be binding nor in any way an expectation of general members of Ficly, league members, family members or wearers of Member’s Only jackets]
1. Comment to Story posting ratio must exceed 5:1. Goal is 10:1. In other words, I write a story then find five others (at least) upon which to comment before writing another.
2. For every solo shot or sequel of my own material, I must write a sequel or prequel to the work of another author. If I’m going easy on myself, participating in a challenge also fulfills this requirement.
3. If someone comments on one of my stories, I go find one of theirs upon which to comment. It only seems fair, and I like to think it encourages commenting.
4. Awesomeness is the goal, always. Call me on it when I fail, please.
5. Clearly mark mature content and err on the side of caution.
6. Golden Rule remains in effect for all sequels, prequels, and comments.

Ohh how I’ve missed this. This site gave me the motivation I always needed to write and I’ve missed it horribly. By day I work for a newspaper, by night, I delve into the world of CherryPop McGee and assorted Zombies. I’m writing her story, which got it’s start in this community, online and hope to self-publish when it’s all done.
Am also a big fan of AudioBoo (audioboo.fm/profile/Melia) and because of the awesome creative commons licensing here, I hope you don’t mind if I occasionally record an audio clip of your Ficly :) I will, of course, properly credit you.

While working at AOL, I was a part of the team that built Ficlets along with Kevin, Cindy, Jenna, and Ari. When AOL decided to shut our baby down, I contacted Kevin and got the ball rolling on Ficly. I’m more a musician and photographer than an author, but I love storytelling and the art of writing.
We continue to have a ton of fun working on this site and building the community, so thank you all for participating and let us know how we can make it better!

Born in Kansas City, Kansas, Chris Meadows spent his formative years in Jonesboro, Arkansas, followed by the small-town environment of Cassville, Missouri, before moving to Springfield to attend Southwest Missouri State University (now Missouri State University). He graduated in 1996 with a degree in Mass Media, and returned a few years later for another degree in Computer Information Systems.
Most of Chris’s professional experience is in the customer service and technical writing fields. Chris has always enjoyed writing, and has been a moderator of two separate Usenet newsgroups. His other hobbies include collecting Japanese animation and Hong Kong action cinema, roleplaying, and the computer game City of Heroes.
Chris lives in Springfield, Missouri with his two cats, Benji and Diva. He is currently helping to organize a small gaming convention, Springfield G.A.M.E., at http://springfieldgame.com.
On the original version of Ficlets, Chris wrote many interesting tales. They may be found in the Ficlets archive.

I’ve been unfortunately dormant for the last few weeks (or months), so it’s your responsibility to yell at me and make me write. Yours, not mine. I’ll do the best I can, but really, it’s up to you.
If you comment my stuff, please be as nit-picky as necessary. I crave constructive criticism. Also alliteration.
If you want to start a series with me, drop a note! Remember to comment on everything, rate, and use the Random Story button at the bottom of the page.
Warning: Shameless Plug Ahead Had around 570 ficlets on the old site—you can read ’em through the link above if you like.

Sometimes I thought Ficlets brought the corny out of me.
Sometimes I think Ficly will bring the corny out of me. -
After a Ficly hiatus, I’m starting a new series with my old friend thebetweenspace. Check it out!

I write things. I design things. I am also a co-founder of Gameplaywright Press.

Read, Rate, Comment, Sequel.
That’s my ficly mantra.
Also, that’s the way I roll.
In my opinion, there’s no better compliment than offering an unsolicited sequel to someone else’s story. I think inspired, good-hearted sequels are more breathtaking than the best comments and ratings will ever be.
I joined the League of Awesome. From this point, I shall be known as the Awestruck Ambassador of Awesome.

I’m Band Baby, and I am one of the original Ficleteers =D Or a Ficlets Survivor or what ever you would like to call me =) I’m also part of the LoA, where I am known as the Sweet Darlin’ of Awesomeness. Please comment and critique. I’m here to grow as a writer, and that is what I intend to do.
I also have met a great many friends through Ficlets and I hope Ficly can live up to and surpass all of Ficlet’s former glory. =)
Note me if you want to do a series or anything =)

Maybe I’m a writer. I don’t know yet.

A songbird singing sweetly in a gilded cage. Not so much gilded as rusted. And not so much sweetly as howling in rage. Also, perhaps less a bird and more like a mountain lion/hippo/alligator thing. Still , caged though.

I design interesting stuff for interesting people.
I did the visual design for Ficly and over the course of working on this project with Jason and Kevin I have fallen in love with the simplicity and spirited nature of what Ficly is. Glad to be a part of it.

Simple as this.
My life has recently undergone some major alterations.

My short stories mainly include rhyme, though I write much, much more, in my spare time. I gratefully accept any feedback, though its for my own fulfillment that I write.
I’m the kind of girl that you see in a corner of the bus every night, smelling the pages of her fantasy novel.
Please rate my stuff and let me know what you think!

Hello. I’m John. Please don’t make fun of me.

Is a student once again and lurking in the shadows, reading your ficlets in secret. ;^) Hopefully will be bitten by the writing bug again one day. OH! I see it has been at least 11 months since I last contributed— sadly, I will not be updating time line today.
Keep up the great work troops! Soldier on, warriors… Soldier on..

Here for the time being…

A former Ficleteer. Now, I am a Ficly acolyte – a Ficlyte, if you will. (You can thank uselessness for that term!)
Spread the word, brothers and sisters! :-D

I’m just this guy, you know? Kind of creative, I guess. Probably not very good at writing, but I do what I can. Let me know what you think if you stumble across one of my stories.
Also, I normally don’t comment other people’s stuff. I can if you want, I’ll let you know what I think, but be prepared for something off the wall. Just in case.
