I like achewood and rice pudding. I like sci-fi and comics.
I don’t like mosquitos or soup skin.
I am shy around strangers. I have an irrational fear of snipers.
I’m really trying to get over my fear/hatred/horror of seafood, and so far it’s going ok. I now sometimes crave shrimps. Progress!

I’m just this guy, you know?

Roy McM lives with his Lovely Wife and son, two dogs and two cats in Edmonds Washington and is currently employed in the computer industry. He is not a writer, nor does he enjoy writing.

I’m a computer dude by trade and a musician/music lover who also digs astronomy, sci-fi/fantasy literature and tattoos.

I live in one of the most inspiring and beautiful places on Earth: Squamish, British Columbia, Canada! I love Astronomy, Sci-Fi and inspiring personal interest stories.
I’ve always wanted to try my hand at writing fiction, so here goes! I hope you like my stories, and feel free to comment and add to them!

Designer. Gamer. Geek. Word.
I am starting work on a novel but I’ll be using Ficly for practice, to get my writing chops back up to snuff as it’s been several years since I’ve done any serious writing. And who knows, maybe a Ficly story I write might end up becoming something longer and bigger one day. One can dream, last time I checked.

In possession of an Asian Studies degree, working towards another in Archaeology, dabbling in astronomy and not sure where exactly I am going. A skeptic at heart but a sucker for ancient mythology. My writing is lost and stuck in a rut. I could really use a creative kick in the butt. A passion for all things mah jongg, one bag packing, daibutsu, and trains. Life long advocate against bananas.

Most everything I write nowadays is for computers to understand. Its nice to occasionally write without worrying about compiler errors.

I am a peon and a writer. One day, I hope to only be the latter.

While working at AOL, I was a part of the team that built Ficlets along with Kevin, Cindy, Jenna, and Ari. When AOL decided to shut our baby down, I contacted Kevin and got the ball rolling on Ficly. I’m more a musician and photographer than an author, but I love storytelling and the art of writing.
We continue to have a ton of fun working on this site and building the community, so thank you all for participating and let us know how we can make it better!

I keep a LiveJournal (drop me a note if you’re interested).
Other hobbies: reading, mucking about with music, listening to music, walking, bicycle, dancing, crochet, etc. Was CrescentDreams at Ficlets (if you want to search archive for my old stuff) -
Australian, born in 1977, possibly human. Haven’t written fiction in a long time, but “Zerrakhi” was a character name I used back in the day and I’ve always liked it. I dabble in creativity of all kinds.

Yorick was born under a full moon during a thunderstorm on Friday the 13th in the year 666 AD. Some words that rhyme with his name are pyloric, caloric, historic and Katie Couric. As of this date Yorick has no plans to run for president in 2012.

I don’t think I am going to be fooling anybody into thinking that I am a professional writer. I hope one or two people like one or two of my stories. On a side note. I think Ficly is a pretty cool idea.
