I am The Blue Sparrow (haha remember that ::takes out sword:: hehe) I am a ficlets survivor and I am very glad to be back.
I am a helpless romantic that stumbled into Ficlets and fell in love with writing. I also fell in love with the family that I came to know on that site. I seemed to grow as a writer more and more and my grades in my english class shot up.
Now in college I try to find time to write even though now it seems like my writing time is consumed by technical research papers. I have changed a lot since I stumbled into Ficlets, but cute sweet poetry is a still a part of my life.
I am in LoA as The Holder of the Blue Crayon of Destiny (see my icon :] )

Ohh how I’ve missed this. This site gave me the motivation I always needed to write and I’ve missed it horribly. By day I work for a newspaper, by night, I delve into the world of CherryPop McGee and assorted Zombies. I’m writing her story, which got it’s start in this community, online and hope to self-publish when it’s all done.
Am also a big fan of AudioBoo (audioboo.fm/profile/Melia) and because of the awesome creative commons licensing here, I hope you don’t mind if I occasionally record an audio clip of your Ficly :) I will, of course, properly credit you.

Dr. Tim’s Neurotic Rules of Ficly Life
[Disclaimer: This is not intended to be binding nor in any way an expectation of general members of Ficly, league members, family members or wearers of Member’s Only jackets]
1. Comment to Story posting ratio must exceed 5:1. Goal is 10:1. In other words, I write a story then find five others (at least) upon which to comment before writing another.
2. For every solo shot or sequel of my own material, I must write a sequel or prequel to the work of another author. If I’m going easy on myself, participating in a challenge also fulfills this requirement.
3. If someone comments on one of my stories, I go find one of theirs upon which to comment. It only seems fair, and I like to think it encourages commenting.
4. Awesomeness is the goal, always. Call me on it when I fail, please.
5. Clearly mark mature content and err on the side of caution.
6. Golden Rule remains in effect for all sequels, prequels, and comments.

I’ve been unfortunately dormant for the last few weeks (or months), so it’s your responsibility to yell at me and make me write. Yours, not mine. I’ll do the best I can, but really, it’s up to you.
If you comment my stuff, please be as nit-picky as necessary. I crave constructive criticism. Also alliteration.
If you want to start a series with me, drop a note! Remember to comment on everything, rate, and use the Random Story button at the bottom of the page.
Warning: Shameless Plug Ahead Had around 570 ficlets on the old site—you can read ’em through the link above if you like.

I’m just this guy, you know?

So I figure I should fill this box in, because otherwise my profile page promised to cry in despair.
The name’s Orange, OrangeOreos. I’m from a now-extinct organization known as Ficlets. I haven’t written much since the good ship Ficlets was sunk by AOL, but I’ll try to get back into the habit!
I guess I should also say that I’m a junior in the fun-house named high school. The school theater is my second home, and all my non-cyber home-skillets live in it, too.
Good writing, everyone!

Finally back after a much too lengthy sabbatical.
Hopefully you’ll all remember me. And if not, I hope to be remembered.

I have finaly returned, to ficly and to the bullpen.
Read these quotes and feel the intellectual prosperity.
- A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
- Attitudes are contagious, so ask yourself, “Is mine worth catching?”
- One who asks a question is a fool for five minutes; One who does not ask a question remains a fool forever.
- Genius may have its limitations, but stupidity is not thus handicapped.
- In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.
- The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.
- The best way to make your dreams come true is to wake up.
- Don’t wish it were easier, wish you were better.
- Millions saw the apple fall, but Newton was the one who asked why.
- Everyone makes mistakes. It’s what you do after that counts.
- The more I live, the more I learn. The more I learn, the more I realise, the less I know.
- Playing it safe is the most popular way to fail.
- If you smile when you are alone, then you truly mean it.

One of the most difficult things to say to another person is, I hope that you will love me for no good reason. But it is what we all want and rarely dare to say to one another— to our children, to our parents and mates, to our friends, and to strangers. Especially to strangers, who have neither good nor bad reasons to love us.

As a self-proclaimed Knight of Ficly:
I, Sir Bic, do solemnly swear -
To befriend those who befriend me
To follow those who critique me
To make my giving (my stories) but a tenth part of my gifts (my comments)
“Long live the land of Ficly!” – []o)
I strive for a 10:1, comment-to-story ratio, cause the math is easier.
I hope to have as many Ficleteer friends as I have Ficlet stories.

Read, Rate, Comment, Sequel.
That’s my ficly mantra.
Also, that’s the way I roll.
In my opinion, there’s no better compliment than offering an unsolicited sequel to someone else’s story. I think inspired, good-hearted sequels are more breathtaking than the best comments and ratings will ever be.

- League of Awesomeness Oath.I spend most of my work days staring at one Excel chart or another. I am here to seek the sanctuary of words.
I love comments – leaving them and giving them.
If a piece or a challenge is good, I would like to know that you appreciated it.
If it is less than stellar, I appreciate that your comments will help me to improve. -
I have a wife, two kids, a cat and a mortgage. I design and maintain websites for a living and have never considered myself a writer. I like board wargaming, drawing and I also attempt to play the trombone. Hopefully, I’m getting better.
Real writers likely to influence my writing style are Kurt Vonnegut, Arthur C. Clarke, Douglas Adams and Robert Sheckley.

Kicking it at the University of Oklahoma. I like writing, science, almost all forms of music (literally), creating constructed languages, graphic/visual arts, and a good book. I will not hesitate in saying I am a Christian and I am darned proud to be an American.
