There’s not much to say about who I am, however like most here my passion is writing.
I hope to improve my vocabulary and skills in English to one day, hopefully, be able to put my ideas into words in a way I’m proud of. -
-Yeah, I’m still doing the writing thing.
- No, it’s not just a hobby.
- I know there are tons of people.
- I didn’t expect it to be easy.
- It is a real job. I swear. -
“Tell me a bit about yourself.” She smiled at that, like she had been expecting me to say just that, just now. “What can I say?” She sat forward and gave me a nice view down her low cut top as she tapped the ash from her cigarette into the ashtray, sitting back and biting the end of the black holder in her white teeth but I was too distracted by how it pushed against her red painted lips. “I’m just a simple girl. I like all the things that most girls like; poetry, music, dancing…I do like to dance. Do you dance?” What could I say? “For you, Toots?” Her blue eyes slimmed as she inhaled more smoke, and I sat forward, brushing a wave of brunette locks from her pale cheek. “Anything.” Another smile, warmer but just as dazzling as the last. “Oh, and I write.” She mentioned, offhandedly. “You do?” I couldn’t keep the interest from my voice, I didn’t try. She nodded and blew a smoke ring, tapping her ash into the tray again. “I write everything; friendships, lovers, pain…I even sometimes write my own death.”

A former Ficleteer. Now, I am a Ficly acolyte – a Ficlyte, if you will. (You can thank uselessness for that term!)
Spread the word, brothers and sisters! :-D

Strong silent type, except when talkative. Mother, wife, writer, teacher, gamer, geek. Living.
I am currently writing two online serial novels at April Raines’ Storybook Corner. A dark fantasy called The Shadows of Sicily is the primary one. The secondary story is an exploration of community called GURD 2108. There is also a smattering of poetry.
My favourite books include: ’Kusiel’s Avatar’ by Jacqueline Carey, ‘The Stand’ by Stephen King, ‘New Enlarged Pocket Anthology of Robert Frost’s Poems’, and ‘Unconditional Parenting’ by Alfie Kohn.

Certified teacher, wife, mother of two, center-brained, imaginative, pragmatist. I find myself writing every spare moment I get.

The pen is mightier than the sword. How outdated. In the 1900’s, it would have been, “The typewriter is mightier than the machine gun.” But in modern times? “The word processor is mightier than the particle-beam weapon.”
I play video games, build things with Legos, and try to kid myself into thinking that I’m mature. I love dorking around with computers and I have a strange obsession with hats – nice ones, that is, no baseball caps. My dream is to either become a Masterbuilder or a drummer, and neither seem very close. Such is life.
Since joining Ficly, I’ve come to realize that I love playing off of other people’s work, reshaping their ideas to form some coherent things. Half my stories come either from challenges or from hitting the “Random Story” button and writing a sequel (I highly recommend this, the things that you’ll find are amazing!).

Aurelia is battling a quarter-life crisis with the help of Ficly and a lot of coffee. She is launching into the abyss of a new career as a (sexy) academic librarian, and working it all out in just 1024 characters.

I’m a college grad with a hobby for writing fiction. I went to school for paralegal studies and then business and now about to start law school, so I’m used to writing formal business papers and various law forms.

Wow. I’ve been gone for awhile. Life has sort of taken over and my writing has withered along with the leaves on the trees. I feel I should have forced the writing when I felt less than inspired, but those days also seemed overwhelming in so many ways, so I stayed away. I think today is the day I would like to dust off the keyboard and begin the journey once more to find and hone my voice. I can only hope that there are some who will stick with me as I make my way back towards the literary world.

Well some of you will be interested to know that I’ve graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and am currently working a dead end job to pay the bills. I still spend silly amounts of money on books.
I love the music of Dashboard Confessional, Jonsi and Jimmy Eat World. I’m inspired by the works of Neil Gaiman, Diana Wynne Jones and Hayao Miyazaki. I still love Ficly :) -

I love to write. One of my life goals is to write a novel, but right now work, church, and family take up most of my spare time. This site helps me scratch that writing itch that pops up occasionally.
My policy is quid pro quo. If you follow me, I will follow you. It’s as simple as that! I’m all about building the community.
Want to write something with me? Send me a note! I’m up for pretty much anything.

17 year old attempting to juggle my beloved writing and A-Levels. Please be gentle =) Thought it might be time to write a proper profile piece. I’m…er…Abby. And…well…that’s me there. Somewhere to the…erm…left I think. Yup. I kind of comment on everything. I’m like a commenting freak. And … erm…this is a hell of a lot harder than I anticipated.
I’m also a geek. I’m a Trekky, Lord of the Rings addict, Star Wars fan…well I’ll sum it up by saying I love all things ComicCon. I’m an artist too. Ooh and I love history. And science. I can’t stop playing Assassin’s Creed…and Runescape. So bite me, blondies!!!
I have alcoholic tendencies =P … judgement will be met with drunken vomitting so good luck with that!
If I was religious, I think God would have kicked me out by now. Yet I still class myself as Christian, how odd.
All things truly evil come in cute packages. So don’t mess with the panda hat, OK?
Oh and I’ve written 11 books. But I can’t be bothered to publish. =S
Love ya.

I like to write and read and all that jazz. English is the only thing I’m good at. I mean at all. There is not much to me if I take out the English part.

I’m a 25-yr-old teacher/aspiring author who lives in the gorgeous desert land of Tucson, Arizona. I’m currently finishing up my first MG manuscript that I hope to start querying agents about in a couple of months! I write a widely unknown blog & enter fanfic contests whenever they strike my fancy. I love reading YA & MG fantasy, Historical Fiction, Christian literature, and just about anything I can get my hands on. And I’m SUPEREXCITED about Ficly & the opportunities it gives authors to create & craft & play with language.

“Difference is a blessing, not a challenge. We define ourselves by knowing other people. We know our world by learning about difference. What is the word we often use? Tolerance. Is that a positive notion? Not really. ‘For the time being, I will tolerate you?’ I’m against that concept. It means difference is a threat. Difference is a blessing and you don’t tolerate a blessing. You embrace it.” — Mohammad Mahallati.

Until Ficly offers a way to edit comments, please ignore my comment typos, I have terrible eyesight and prefer to read/type white on black. It also came to my attention that every time I delete, make edits, then repost, the writer gets multiple emails.

I’m a 24-year-old reporter working at a small-town newspaper in the Pacific Northwest. I want to stretch my writing chops just a wee bit, hence the interest in this site.
I’m a skeptic, atheist and self-proclaimed lover of dinosaurs and 1950’s sci-fi movies. I imagine all of those themes will eventually make into the stories I write here.
