If you’re inclined, write sequels or prequels to anything I’ve done, and I always welcome comments and notes.

I’m just this guy, you know?

A sometime artist and writer, Lady Grey likes to sit in Idlewild and dream of the west wind. If thoughts are the children of an idle brain, then she has more than a foot in the gate of fantasy.

I’ve been unfortunately dormant for the last few weeks (or months), so it’s your responsibility to yell at me and make me write. Yours, not mine. I’ll do the best I can, but really, it’s up to you.
If you comment my stuff, please be as nit-picky as necessary. I crave constructive criticism. Also alliteration.
If you want to start a series with me, drop a note! Remember to comment on everything, rate, and use the Random Story button at the bottom of the page.
Warning: Shameless Plug Ahead Had around 570 ficlets on the old site—you can read ’em through the link above if you like.

I guess this will do.

I love to write. One of my life goals is to write a novel, but right now work, church, and family take up most of my spare time. This site helps me scratch that writing itch that pops up occasionally.
My policy is quid pro quo. If you follow me, I will follow you. It’s as simple as that! I’m all about building the community.
Want to write something with me? Send me a note! I’m up for pretty much anything.

Good day!
The name’s Ed – theatre buff, pianist and proud Ficleteer…
Of course, all comments and ratings are appreciated, and I do try to do my bit as well – if you want to note me, that’s always pleasant too!

A no-name, aspiring author who can’t stop writing. Looking ahead, he strives for perfection. Shackled by various forms of entertainment, he dreams of success. Most stories here are an invitation to YOU, to join me in creating new stories, new worlds, and a different tomorrow.

One of the most difficult things to say to another person is, I hope that you will love me for no good reason. But it is what we all want and rarely dare to say to one another— to our children, to our parents and mates, to our friends, and to strangers. Especially to strangers, who have neither good nor bad reasons to love us.

In short, the Electric Hillbilly is a free and untrammelled citizen of the great state of Alabama, who lives in the hills, has no means to speak of, dresses as he can, talks as he pleases, drinks whiskey when he can get it, and fires off his rifle as the fancy takes him.

I love critiques, the more pointed the better. I’m so grateful when people give their time and expertise to identify exactly what isn’t working in my writing.
I joined Ficly with one rule: if I have the idea, I have to write it. Period.
I live in the Midwest and I like pop culture, flash fiction, Taco John’s, and cats. I like cats a lot.

Note to eReader owners: Digest for April 2011 is now available at http://www.box.net/shared/yg7eom74zq, as are all monthly digests. I’m happy to accept any and all feedback.
Still a fan of the slightly warped.

As a self-proclaimed Knight of Ficly:
I, Sir Bic, do solemnly swear -
To befriend those who befriend me
To follow those who critique me
To make my giving (my stories) but a tenth part of my gifts (my comments)
“Long live the land of Ficly!” – []o)
I strive for a 10:1, comment-to-story ratio, cause the math is easier.
I hope to have as many Ficleteer friends as I have Ficlet stories.

I have a wife, two kids, a cat and a mortgage. I design and maintain websites for a living and have never considered myself a writer. I like board wargaming, drawing and I also attempt to play the trombone. Hopefully, I’m getting better.
Real writers likely to influence my writing style are Kurt Vonnegut, Arthur C. Clarke, Douglas Adams and Robert Sheckley.

Until Ficly offers a way to edit comments, please ignore my comment typos, I have terrible eyesight and prefer to read/type white on black. It also came to my attention that every time I delete, make edits, then repost, the writer gets multiple emails.
