Dr. Tim’s Neurotic Rules of Ficly Life
[Disclaimer: This is not intended to be binding nor in any way an expectation of general members of Ficly, league members, family members or wearers of Member’s Only jackets]
1. Comment to Story posting ratio must exceed 5:1. Goal is 10:1. In other words, I write a story then find five others (at least) upon which to comment before writing another.
2. For every solo shot or sequel of my own material, I must write a sequel or prequel to the work of another author. If I’m going easy on myself, participating in a challenge also fulfills this requirement.
3. If someone comments on one of my stories, I go find one of theirs upon which to comment. It only seems fair, and I like to think it encourages commenting.
4. Awesomeness is the goal, always. Call me on it when I fail, please.
5. Clearly mark mature content and err on the side of caution.
6. Golden Rule remains in effect for all sequels, prequels, and comments.

I’ve been unfortunately dormant for the last few weeks (or months), so it’s your responsibility to yell at me and make me write. Yours, not mine. I’ll do the best I can, but really, it’s up to you.
If you comment my stuff, please be as nit-picky as necessary. I crave constructive criticism. Also alliteration.
If you want to start a series with me, drop a note! Remember to comment on everything, rate, and use the Random Story button at the bottom of the page.
Warning: Shameless Plug Ahead Had around 570 ficlets on the old site—you can read ’em through the link above if you like.

This time, it’s mostly Jason’s fault. He’s the one who convinced me that we couldn’t just leave well enough alone. He got the designers to donate their time, and wrote all the HTML, CSS and 95% of the javascript. I did the models and controllers. Nope, we couldn’t just let it go. We had to try it again.

NOTE: I am happy to build feedback loops, where I comment on all your stories if you comment on all mine. If you have less than twenty stories, I’ll go first – but otherwise, I’d offer batch processing.
A gamer born and bred, a writer clawing his way out from inside.
I’m still 39, married, a cog in a corporate machine, and I play just about any game known to modern geeks. SmilinStan on XBox Live, in case you wanna look.

I have a hard time writing anything unless it makes me feel small and afraid. The universe is immense, and I am but a speck.
-
Arms, legs, the usual.
I value feedback, so feel free to rate my stories with a 1 or a 2. I only ask that you tell me why when you do so, so I can make my next story better.

I am one of the Original Ficletters whose beloved website got ripped from their hands. :‘( But it’s better now since we have the offspring website, which is this… FICLY!!! Since we had to wait so long for this glorious website, I also have my writings on Protagonize.com/author/Brebelles So check me out there. :)
Yay! I was just approved for entry into the LoA aka League of Awesomeness! :) Saint Smiley. <3I like feed-back, so PLEASE tell me honestly what you think. Because, how can I improve, if you don’t help me??
I love to write. I write songs and poems.
I’ve been meaning to post stories, but that is not my love. I try and try, but I seem not to succeed. My friends are all creative. I love them and my family. One of my close friends passed away in a terrible car crash. It saddened my family. My best friend Blossom, who is on here as Blossom Ruoqen, was her sister. I LOVE YOU BLAH!! ♥
I’ve been trying to write how I feel.. but I just don’t know how to put it into words. I don’t know the right words to put down. I wish I did, because as much as I know a certain person knows how I feel about them, I’d love to be able to put into words for them.
An Additional Note: Ficly is a second home to those who’s multiple personalities require more room to cultivate their quirkiness. A family of strangers with so much in common, where we hide behind fake names and stories but reveal more of ourselves that way than we ever could.
Favorite author Patrick Carmen Favorite book uh, thats hard….I like Narnia, The Land of Elyon, His Dark Materials

Not much to say about me really. I write. I play music. I write music. And I enjoy reading Ficly-Stories.I’ve been writing since high-school – which was so long ago, we walked to school in 4ft of snow with no shoes on and bread at the store cost a penny… ok.. .25 cents.. but i was able to get 10 candies for 5 cents.
SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED AND WON NANOWRIMO 2008, by writing a novel over 60,000 words long called: Amethyst: Outer-Rim based on a ficlets series written here!

I am The Blue Sparrow (haha remember that ::takes out sword:: hehe) I am a ficlets survivor and I am very glad to be back.
I am a helpless romantic that stumbled into Ficlets and fell in love with writing. I also fell in love with the family that I came to know on that site. I seemed to grow as a writer more and more and my grades in my english class shot up.
Now in college I try to find time to write even though now it seems like my writing time is consumed by technical research papers. I have changed a lot since I stumbled into Ficlets, but cute sweet poetry is a still a part of my life.
I am in LoA as The Holder of the Blue Crayon of Destiny (see my icon :] )

So I figure I should fill this box in, because otherwise my profile page promised to cry in despair.
The name’s Orange, OrangeOreos. I’m from a now-extinct organization known as Ficlets. I haven’t written much since the good ship Ficlets was sunk by AOL, but I’ll try to get back into the habit!
I guess I should also say that I’m a junior in the fun-house named high school. The school theater is my second home, and all my non-cyber home-skillets live in it, too.
Good writing, everyone!

I love action stories, but am slowly coming to like romance too. I often will use emoticons in comments so I do look unproffesional but I am actually an avid reader. My love life is just as random as my stories and it’s had a share of tragedy, but this trooper carries on. Fave Authors: John Scalzi, David Michaels, Piers Anthony

Growing up I have always found time to write stories, mostly fiction and fantasy. Occasionally, I would find myself writing about an experience of mine (which has led to me keeping a diary, for lack of a better term, filled with one liners, quotes, secrets, entries, doodles, and sketches) through the eyes of another or creating characters with values and desires I have or wish to have. Because writing is boundless I am able to explore all of these areas, whether they be on the surface or hidden away in the darkest recesses of my mind. To be limitless is the ultimate appeal of the written word. However, as I’ve gotten older, my time is divided up between duties, higher education, “growing up,” striving to be self-actualized, etc. leaving very little time for writing. Being almost 19 years old, I have decided to finally take charge and change this fact. Not only will I contribute to Ficly daily, but I am also starting a project at home: 501 Writing Prompts where I try to complete each one thoroughly.
