This time, it’s mostly Jason’s fault. He’s the one who convinced me that we couldn’t just leave well enough alone. He got the designers to donate their time, and wrote all the HTML, CSS and 95% of the javascript. I did the models and controllers. Nope, we couldn’t just let it go. We had to try it again.

I design interesting stuff for interesting people.
I did the visual design for Ficly and over the course of working on this project with Jason and Kevin I have fallen in love with the simplicity and spirited nature of what Ficly is. Glad to be a part of it.

Another one of the refugees from the old Ficlets site. See my old FICLETS HERE!
Not much to say about me really. I write. I play music. I write music. And I enjoy reading Ficly-Stories.I’ve been writing since high-school – which was so long ago, we walked to school in 4ft of snow with no shoes on and bread at the store cost a penny… ok.. .25 cents.. but i was able to get 10 candies for 5 cents.
SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED AND WON NANOWRIMO 2008, by writing a novel over 60,000 words long called: Amethyst: Outer-Rim based on a ficlets series written here!
I’ve been bestowed the great honour of being part of the brother-and-sisterhood known as: The League of Awesome. Henceforth I shall bear the monicker: The Master of the +10 Guitar of Awesomeness!

Here for the time being…

Hello everyone! It’s wonderful to be amongst so many creative minds. Thanks to everyone who brought this dream to life and to those who keep it going. I have been with Ficly for a long time, back when it had a different name. Those stories are in my graveyard.
Who am I? I was going to be a great artist, but that was kindergarten. Since then, my left brain has taken over, the lockstep drudgery of life having dulled my senses. I have not learned how to write, but I must try. I must try to free my soul. -
Geek. Music. Writing.

I lost my soul when I fell to earth
My planets call me to the void of my birth
The time has come for me to kill this game
Now open wide and say my name…http://ficlets.ficly.com/authors/user_605

I am a physicist, atheist, collaborative writer, poet, graphic artist, web designer, and Delt.
I’ve written quite a few stories that are ripe for reading, sequeling, prequeling, and commenting, if you’re so inclined.
My favorite ficly thread – or ficly tree, if you will – is one I wrote about Verdanus and Tertius. Please take a gander, and feel free to build off of it! There is no way to ruin the story, if that is something you fear, so your sequels and prequels will always be appreciated!

I am the most interesting person you’ll never meet and would appreciate it if you could take a step back. You’re standing on my ego.

Ficly, Ficly, Ficly.
I can’t wait to endeavor into your boundless grasps of thoughts and proceedings of Ficly writers’ absurd rantings.I’m OTOC; you may (or may not?) have encountered me from the previous site, Ficlets.
I’d like to think I’ve improved, but that’s not up to me. I can only record my growth through your (yes, YOUR!) feedback – of which I crave. If you’re as lame and strange as I am, we’ll get along incredibly.
I’m in the LoA – but I can’t, for the life of me, remember what my title MoA stands for. Something-of-Awesomeness, for sure.
Hmm.For whatever reason, you’ll likely find me writing more poems than stories.
“Because with you and me writing, 1024 characters is a sentence, not a story.”
—Leecat :)I love vocabulary.
And philosophies.
And debates.
And Icy Tea.Is it lame that I think I have the honor of being friends with so many people?

My short stories mainly include rhyme, though I write much, much more, in my spare time. I gratefully accept any feedback, though its for my own fulfillment that I write.
I’m the kind of girl that you see in a corner of the bus every night, smelling the pages of her fantasy novel.
Please rate my stuff and let me know what you think!

Dr. Tim’s Neurotic Rules of Ficly Life
[Disclaimer: This is not intended to be binding nor in any way an expectation of general members of Ficly, league members, family members or wearers of Member’s Only jackets]
1. Comment to Story posting ratio must exceed 5:1. Goal is 10:1. In other words, I write a story then find five others (at least) upon which to comment before writing another.
2. For every solo shot or sequel of my own material, I must write a sequel or prequel to the work of another author. If I’m going easy on myself, participating in a challenge also fulfills this requirement.
3. If someone comments on one of my stories, I go find one of theirs upon which to comment. It only seems fair, and I like to think it encourages commenting.
4. Awesomeness is the goal, always. Call me on it when I fail, please.
5. Clearly mark mature content and err on the side of caution.
6. Golden Rule remains in effect for all sequels, prequels, and comments.

The pen is mightier than the sword. How outdated. In the 1900’s, it would have been, “The typewriter is mightier than the machine gun.” But in modern times? “The word processor is mightier than the particle-beam weapon.”
I play video games, build things with Legos, and try to kid myself into thinking that I’m mature. I love dorking around with computers and I have a strange obsession with hats – nice ones, that is, no baseball caps. My dream is to either become a Masterbuilder or a drummer, and neither seem very close. Such is life.
Since joining Ficly, I’ve come to realize that I love playing off of other people’s work, reshaping their ideas to form some coherent things. Half my stories come either from challenges or from hitting the “Random Story” button and writing a sequel (I highly recommend this, the things that you’ll find are amazing!).

Well some of you will be interested to know that I’ve graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and am currently working a dead end job to pay the bills. I still spend silly amounts of money on books.
I love the music of Dashboard Confessional, Jonsi and Jimmy Eat World. I’m inspired by the works of Neil Gaiman, Diana Wynne Jones and Hayao Miyazaki. I still love Ficly :) -
Laura wishes it was 1983, plays the ukulele, loves John Cusack and a nice cold can of PBR after work. She is analog, poetic and odd.

I build usable, social sites on the web, like Protagonize.com (@protagonize on Twitter), a creative writing community.

I was once a refugee from Ficlets, and those stories are now self-archived over at http://decafbad.com/skein/

17 year old attempting to juggle my beloved writing and A-Levels. Please be gentle =) Thought it might be time to write a proper profile piece. I’m…er…Abby. And…well…that’s me there. Somewhere to the…erm…left I think. Yup. I kind of comment on everything. I’m like a commenting freak. And … erm…this is a hell of a lot harder than I anticipated.
I’m also a geek. I’m a Trekky, Lord of the Rings addict, Star Wars fan…well I’ll sum it up by saying I love all things ComicCon. I’m an artist too. Ooh and I love history. And science. I can’t stop playing Assassin’s Creed…and Runescape. So bite me, blondies!!!
I have alcoholic tendencies =P … judgement will be met with drunken vomitting so good luck with that!
If I was religious, I think God would have kicked me out by now. Yet I still class myself as Christian, how odd.
All things truly evil come in cute packages. So don’t mess with the panda hat, OK?
Oh and I’ve written 11 books. But I can’t be bothered to publish. =S
Love ya.

I joined Ficly hoping that someday, someone will quote me before I die. Or maybe I will quote them before they quote me?
“Billy Pilgram has come unstuck in time,” so wrote the great Kurt Vonnegut Jr. I used to hope he would quote me someday, but he died, so I hope he doesn’t quote me now. Actually, I hope he doesn’t say anything or quote anybody. I hope he just rests in peace. -
I’m a 24-year-old reporter working at a small-town newspaper in the Pacific Northwest. I want to stretch my writing chops just a wee bit, hence the interest in this site.
I’m a skeptic, atheist and self-proclaimed lover of dinosaurs and 1950’s sci-fi movies. I imagine all of those themes will eventually make into the stories I write here.
