Another one of the refugees from the old Ficlets site. See my old FICLETS HERE!
Not much to say about me really. I write. I play music. I write music. And I enjoy reading Ficly-Stories.I’ve been writing since high-school – which was so long ago, we walked to school in 4ft of snow with no shoes on and bread at the store cost a penny… ok.. .25 cents.. but i was able to get 10 candies for 5 cents.
SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED AND WON NANOWRIMO 2008, by writing a novel over 60,000 words long called: Amethyst: Outer-Rim based on a ficlets series written here!
I’ve been bestowed the great honour of being part of the brother-and-sisterhood known as: The League of Awesome. Henceforth I shall bear the monicker: The Master of the +10 Guitar of Awesomeness!

This time, it’s mostly Jason’s fault. He’s the one who convinced me that we couldn’t just leave well enough alone. He got the designers to donate their time, and wrote all the HTML, CSS and 95% of the javascript. I did the models and controllers. Nope, we couldn’t just let it go. We had to try it again.

While working at AOL, I was a part of the team that built Ficlets along with Kevin, Cindy, Jenna, and Ari. When AOL decided to shut our baby down, I contacted Kevin and got the ball rolling on Ficly. I’m more a musician and photographer than an author, but I love storytelling and the art of writing.
We continue to have a ton of fun working on this site and building the community, so thank you all for participating and let us know how we can make it better!

My name is Leslie Michael Orchard, but you can call me Les. We’re all friends here, right?
I’m a serially enthusiastic, caffeine dependent {web, mad, computer} scientist and {tech, scifi} writer. I work at the Mozilla Corp., and I live in Livonia, MI, USA.
I was once a refugee from Ficlets, and those stories are now self-archived over at http://decafbad.com/skein/

I am The Blue Sparrow (haha remember that ::takes out sword:: hehe) I am a ficlets survivor and I am very glad to be back.
I am a helpless romantic that stumbled into Ficlets and fell in love with writing. I also fell in love with the family that I came to know on that site. I seemed to grow as a writer more and more and my grades in my english class shot up.
Now in college I try to find time to write even though now it seems like my writing time is consumed by technical research papers. I have changed a lot since I stumbled into Ficlets, but cute sweet poetry is a still a part of my life.
I am in LoA as The Holder of the Blue Crayon of Destiny (see my icon :] )

Beneath the regular writers sits a young girl, pen trembling in her hand. She tries to put words on paper, but nothing comes out but painfully choppy verse. She drops the pen, looking up at the regulars in their creative glory. She sees many people she’d take a bullet for, but cannot stifle the envy toward. She remembers when she was a shining example of what a writer should be, but that time is long since gone. She lays her notebook down and draws her legs under her, praying for inspiration.
Feedback makes my heart race.

I’m wytherwings, also known as Camille.
I’m so excited! I’ve missed ficlets and our whole family so much… it’s great to be back =]
I’m a proud member of the LoA, and with my buddy George, we are the Awesome Twins.
I like eating cold pizza for breakfast. And sleeping with wet hair. the sound of rain, and the smell of books. I like minty gum and red vines and candy canes. I like playing cards and dancing around to bands like Natalie Portman’s Shaved Head. I like singing to David Bowie and doodling on my jeans. I like to surprise people. Hi =]

Hi everyone! Ficly is finally finished!! I really missed ficlets when it was gone. I used to be known as ACORN

______________________…Oh my friend, how
you were mother for me, and how
I could let myself lean on you
comfortable as an old cloth, familiar as enamel saucepans
I was a child again, pyjamaed
in winceyette, my hair plaited, and you
listened, you soothed me like cakes and milk
you listened to me for three days, and I poured
it out, I flowed all over you
like wine, like oil, you touched the place where it hurt
at night we slept together in my big bed
your shoulder eased me towards dreams…Michele Roberts
One of the most difficult things to say to another person is, I hope that you will love me for no good reason. But it is what we all want and rarely dare to say to one another— to our children, to our parents and mates, to our friends, and to strangers. Especially to strangers, who have neither good nor bad reasons to love us.

My name is Never Explain, and I was an original Ficleteer before the creation of this wonderful site.
I usually post any current series that I’m in, but seeing as I’m just getting started again, I don’t have much!
NOTICE TO ALL OF MY FELLOW FICLYTEERS: Feel free to sequel any of my stories. Not only do I not mind it, I WELCOME IT! It is a creatively free world and if you want to add to something of mine feel free, I’d love to see what you’ve written!!

Finally back after a much too lengthy sabbatical.
Hopefully you’ll all remember me. And if not, I hope to be remembered.

A former Ficleteer. Now, I am a Ficly acolyte – a Ficlyte, if you will. (You can thank uselessness for that term!)
Spread the word, brothers and sisters! :-D

So I figure I should fill this box in, because otherwise my profile page promised to cry in despair.
The name’s Orange, OrangeOreos. I’m from a now-extinct organization known as Ficlets. I haven’t written much since the good ship Ficlets was sunk by AOL, but I’ll try to get back into the habit!
I guess I should also say that I’m a junior in the fun-house named high school. The school theater is my second home, and all my non-cyber home-skillets live in it, too.
Good writing, everyone!

He has 2 children and another on the way – he rides motorcycles and reads copiously in his spare time, as well as watching too much Top Gear and seasonal television.
He used to write on ficlets.com and is chuffed that there is a new iteration for him to spend his free time on.

so i haven’t been around much with the start of school
im much more into writing short stories, one lasting at least 4 pages typed…so all my stories end up being multiple ficly entries, but they’re not series…
i write all the time and only like posting things im really proud of, to see how others like them…so that’s how it’ll end up
this means i won’t be posting things every single day, it’ll be more once in a while…but thats how i am.
-
hmm…lets see.
well, I was on Ficlets, a site which I loved and happily wasted many hours that I probably should have been studying on.
more?
Ok, well, I love to write short stories (obviously), Im a liberal arts major, and I openly admitt to my unhealthy shoe addiction.
….Yeah, you would want me to fix that unhealthy shoe addiction, but hey, I’m a girl. (and yes, that really is my only defense. geeez)
what else you ask?
Theres really not much more to know. umm…Audrey Hepburn is my idol, I love chapstick, i cant spell and I have horribly cheesy jokes. Like this one:
Did you hear about the man who was tap dancing?
He broke his ankle when he fell into the sink.hahaha, I bet it made you laugh though, right? What do you mean no?
Oh I see…. that was kind of harsh! I feel like since you’re on Ficly, you’re probably pretty good with the English language and could have worded that a little nicer!OH and feel free to send me a note about starting a series together! I would love too.
:)

So, I haven’t been on here in ages… So much for trying to be on here more than Ficlets.
Lets start the writing back up noa shall we?

Ficly, Ficly, Ficly.
I can’t wait to endeavor into your boundless grasps of thoughts and proceedings of Ficly writers’ absurd rantings.I’m OTOC; you may (or may not?) have encountered me from the previous site, Ficlets.
I’d like to think I’ve improved, but that’s not up to me. I can only record my growth through your (yes, YOUR!) feedback – of which I crave. If you’re as lame and strange as I am, we’ll get along incredibly.
I’m in the LoA – but I can’t, for the life of me, remember what my title MoA stands for. Something-of-Awesomeness, for sure.
Hmm.For whatever reason, you’ll likely find me writing more poems than stories.
“Because with you and me writing, 1024 characters is a sentence, not a story.”
—Leecat :)I love vocabulary.
And philosophies.
And debates.
And Icy Tea.Is it lame that I think I have the honor of being friends with so many people?

I’m Band Baby, and I am one of the original Ficleteers =D Or a Ficlets Survivor or what ever you would like to call me =) I’m also part of the LoA, where I am known as the Sweet Darlin’ of Awesomeness. Please comment and critique. I’m here to grow as a writer, and that is what I intend to do.
I also have met a great many friends through Ficlets and I hope Ficly can live up to and surpass all of Ficlet’s former glory. =)
Note me if you want to do a series or anything =)

With Mr. Gabriel -
I’m an impulsive, neurotic, self-absorbed, overly-sensitive, occasionally-introverted chatterbox (oxymoron’s are my forte, dude) with a penchant for using unnecessarily big words as well as a somewhat unhealthy love for crossword puzzles and Sudoku. I’m a student by day and a self-professed word-nerd (David Cook! :D) by night, as well as [occasionally] mid-afternoon.
I love to write more than just about anything, except for maybe listening to music. My personal space bubble is so small it’s almost non-existant, and as a result I tend to forget it exists and treat other people like human jungle gyms. I’ve also been described as a chipmunk hopped up on crack and a bon-bon in the same sentence, which I think says something about me, though what I’m not entirely sure.
(On a not-so-side note, I’m completely in love with My Chemical Romance/Gerard Way in a complete un-ironic (but not creepy!) way, and apparently have a thing for short, hot, tattooed dudes who can play guitar. Who’d’a thunk it?)

I design interesting stuff for interesting people.
I did the visual design for Ficly and over the course of working on this project with Jason and Kevin I have fallen in love with the simplicity and spirited nature of what Ficly is. Glad to be a part of it.

Why, hello there. The name is Keegan and hopefully this life sparks new ideas, if it does anything at all.
I love the feeling I get when I emerge myself in thought to understand something. That battle with my mind is so straining, yet so fulfilling. And when I finally get it, when it clicks, oh sweetie, I’m happy for days.
Anyway, I love photography and writing. Hi.
