I’m 18. I live in Chicago, IL.
Uhhh I’m going to school for illustration, but sometimes I just, like, love writing.I was on this site all the time maybe two years ago, but I haven’t been checking routinely in over 10 months.

The pen is mightier than the sword. How outdated. In the 1900’s, it would have been, “The typewriter is mightier than the machine gun.” But in modern times? “The word processor is mightier than the particle-beam weapon.”
I play video games, build things with Legos, and try to kid myself into thinking that I’m mature. I love dorking around with computers and I have a strange obsession with hats – nice ones, that is, no baseball caps. My dream is to either become a Masterbuilder or a drummer, and neither seem very close. Such is life.
Since joining Ficly, I’ve come to realize that I love playing off of other people’s work, reshaping their ideas to form some coherent things. Half my stories come either from challenges or from hitting the “Random Story” button and writing a sequel (I highly recommend this, the things that you’ll find are amazing!).

I’m starting to write my stories on paper, so I’m not gonna be posting much on here anymore. I might post something new every now and then, but for the most part I’m gonna write on paper from now on.

Wow. I’ve been gone for awhile. Life has sort of taken over and my writing has withered along with the leaves on the trees. I feel I should have forced the writing when I felt less than inspired, but those days also seemed overwhelming in so many ways, so I stayed away. I think today is the day I would like to dust off the keyboard and begin the journey once more to find and hone my voice. I can only hope that there are some who will stick with me as I make my way back towards the literary world.

Just a sixteen-year-old amateur who should never have been allowed near a keyboard. Hey, well, whaddya know – I came back! I musta wandered off somewhere and got lost, but I got bored with being lost after a while. This is not good backstory. This is also probably a hyperbole.
I’ve written some fairly mediocre stuff in the past, and now I’m hoping to go past that and maybe achieve ‘average’. Still hoping to pick up some radical skills from the writers I see here – I’m hoping absurdly that maybe if I hang around them long enough, I’ll become as good as them. And yes, getting some creativity would be a good idea for me, too.
So if you have any comments or anything, feel free to tell me. No matter how harsh they are – okay, maybe I’d like it if it wasn’t that harsh. But critiques are always handy because I’m still kinda awful at writing. Would appreciate any help from you old-timers!

Hey, so erm … hi. I’m purdy new, and all. I was inspired by this place to write a story, and so far (as of Sunday, August 29th) I’m two chapters into it. I HOPE to write a chapter a day. BUT … we all know how that will go.
Yeah … one chapter a day … Not happening. I can’t even type that much in a day! And I keep getting stuck. I don’t have Block, really. I’m just … un-inspired … >.> Very disenchanting.

Until Ficly offers a way to edit comments, please ignore my comment typos, I have terrible eyesight and prefer to read/type white on black. It also came to my attention that every time I delete, make edits, then repost, the writer gets multiple emails.
