Hi all!
I’m Miss Molly, and you can call me Miss Molly. I’m an aspiring author and happy to be here. I look forward to reading and being read.

Hello. I’m John. Please don’t make fun of me.

I’m 18. I live in Chicago, IL.
Uhhh I’m going to school for illustration, but sometimes I just, like, love writing.I was on this site all the time maybe two years ago, but I haven’t been checking routinely in over 10 months.

I am a ficlets survivor, a ficleteer, or what-have-you and whatever you want to call it. I’m a senior in high school, and I’ve been through some rough times in life, but I’ve been writing poetry for as long as I can remember. Its my coping mechanism. I hope you enjoy my work. Comments and constructive criticism are always appreciated.

Ok, I’m back. One heart attack, a triple CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, pronounced cabbage) and two sessions of beating my computer into submission. I am back.
I’m old. Real old. I’m so old I remember when dialing a phone number actually involved using a dial.
I’ve worked as a projectionist, an armored car driver, a help desk tech, a museum tech and laserist, an historical interperter at Old Sturbridge Village, a university assistant at a planetarium and observatory. I’ve been a salesman, a techie, A union VP and a storyteller. I remember the Gemini missions, but was born after sputnik. I have a love of History, Technology, Space, my religion (Christianity) and my country. I believe there is more that binds us together than can tear us apart.
I’ve loved many, married one, was involuntarily divorced.
Oh and I suppose I should tell you. I don’t understand your music and when it comes to sports, I don’t care if the Red Sox beat the 49’ers for the Stanley cup or not. Not judging, it’s just me.

Hi, I’m Dina and I’m 20 years old. I used to write on Ficlets and used to be really active on this website about two years ago, I guess. I stopped writing publicly but I continued writing on my own. I have some new work to share with you guys, if you’ll have me. I would love criticism because I feel I’m really rusty.
Previously known as Howhardlifeis (on Ficlets).
Currently reading : Catching Fire (2nd book in the Hunger Games trilogy)
Having you in my life was like having my favorite playlist on repeat forever.

In ficly I’ve discovered a medium of writing that’s quick, expressive, and just restricted enough to be a wonderful challenge. I love it!

So I figure I should fill this box in, because otherwise my profile page promised to cry in despair.
The name’s Orange, OrangeOreos. I’m from a now-extinct organization known as Ficlets. I haven’t written much since the good ship Ficlets was sunk by AOL, but I’ll try to get back into the habit!
I guess I should also say that I’m a junior in the fun-house named high school. The school theater is my second home, and all my non-cyber home-skillets live in it, too.
Good writing, everyone!

This time, it’s mostly Jason’s fault. He’s the one who convinced me that we couldn’t just leave well enough alone. He got the designers to donate their time, and wrote all the HTML, CSS and 95% of the javascript. I did the models and controllers. Nope, we couldn’t just let it go. We had to try it again.

While working at AOL, I was a part of the team that built Ficlets along with Kevin, Cindy, Jenna, and Ari. When AOL decided to shut our baby down, I contacted Kevin and got the ball rolling on Ficly. I’m more a musician and photographer than an author, but I love storytelling and the art of writing.
We continue to have a ton of fun working on this site and building the community, so thank you all for participating and let us know how we can make it better!

Dr. Tim’s Neurotic Rules of Ficly Life
[Disclaimer: This is not intended to be binding nor in any way an expectation of general members of Ficly, league members, family members or wearers of Member’s Only jackets]
1. Comment to Story posting ratio must exceed 5:1. Goal is 10:1. In other words, I write a story then find five others (at least) upon which to comment before writing another.
2. For every solo shot or sequel of my own material, I must write a sequel or prequel to the work of another author. If I’m going easy on myself, participating in a challenge also fulfills this requirement.
3. If someone comments on one of my stories, I go find one of theirs upon which to comment. It only seems fair, and I like to think it encourages commenting.
4. Awesomeness is the goal, always. Call me on it when I fail, please.
5. Clearly mark mature content and err on the side of caution.
6. Golden Rule remains in effect for all sequels, prequels, and comments.

A former Ficleteer. Now, I am a Ficly acolyte – a Ficlyte, if you will. (You can thank uselessness for that term!)

Izzy, 18. Citizen of the world, performer, writer. The arts are my saving graces, I think. I was originally a member of Ficlets, and now I’m here. Let’s get to know each other.

Is a student once again and lurking in the shadows, reading your ficlets in secret. ;^) Hopefully will be bitten by the writing bug again one day. OH! I see it has been at least 11 months since I last contributed— sadly, I will not be updating time line today.
Keep up the great work troops! Soldier on, warriors… Soldier on..

Hey Everyone, I’m Violet. I just really got into writing again after my English course this year so I am currently back on ficly a lot! Exciting!
So my one friend and I have a pretty sweet series going right now and its all posted on here. It’s all under my name just because it is easier, but my friend T.J. Ice is writing the part or Jared, I’m writing Cate, and we both write Lucas. You are probably thinking who are these people? Well read and find out!
http://ficly.com/stories/1462I also am really into music so I find myself writing stories inspired by songs. Its fun, especially since i have so much different music on my ipod. One day I might be inspired by Ke$ha and the next it could be Coldplay. (Ke$ha is my hero…just saying)

I’m an amateur writer – I only write for fun and personal entertainment. I’ve never been published and don’t really have any aspirations to get that far. I just like making stuff up. :)
I’ve also found I tend to have a dark outlook in my writing. It seems my inner cynic is the one holding the pen.“Writing is like prostitution. First you do it for love, and then for a few close friends, and then for money.” — Molière

Just another procrastinating writer from Scottsdale, Arizona, working on a couple of books & a few short stories. In my spare time, I work at Verizon as a consultant. I first read about ficlets through Scalzi and Wil Wheaton’s blogs. Cool that it’s back online & out of AOL’s deadly grasp.

Kicking it at the University of Oklahoma. I like writing, science, almost all forms of music (literally), creating constructed languages, graphic/visual arts, and a good book. I will not hesitate in saying I am a Christian and I am darned proud to be an American.
