I am an author of science fiction, general fiction short stories, poetry, and non-fiction. I have been published in several genres, including fantasy and poetry, as well as non fiction.

At one time I published my own computer magazine.

I have published several books using Print On Demand.

Spelling and grammar vex me sorely.

Always been a frustrated doodler and diarist, and have just started a creative writing course at night class. I love how certain words feel in my mouth (probably because I’ve been made to eat so many of them) so maybe by writing them down they will look less appetising. Who knows, I may even lose reams of weight.

I don’t comment as much as I should. My somewhat low standards prevent me from offering proper criticism, sometimes, and when I enjoy a story I typically enjoy it for the story. Pointing out flaws in your work may aid you in perfecting your skills technically, but they rarely make the experience more pleasant for me personally. I am aware that this is a selfish reason for commenting so little and I’m working on it.

That said, I greatly appreciate all comments and criticism. Though I tend to focus more on the story and less on the skill of other writer, I lack confidence and seek always to suck less.

I focus on poetry most of the time, and I find fiction to be a more of a challenge. So I’m starting small :)

Hello world, I’m a very verbose person, typically my ‘short stories’ end up around about 50 odd pages :) So read, rate, love, hate, prequel, sequel my stories. Advice is welcome!

I love to write. One of my life goals is to write a novel, but right now work, church, and family take up most of my spare time. This site helps me scratch that writing itch that pops up occasionally.

My policy is quid pro quo. If you follow me, I will follow you. It’s as simple as that! I’m all about building the community.

Want to write something with me? Send me a note! I’m up for pretty much anything.

I am just a student, wishing for my big break.
I am a tiny dancer. What else do you have to know?
    I am an actor.
“I love acting. It is so much more real than life.”
    I am a singer.
“But I have a talent, a wonderful thing
cause everyone listens when I start to sing
    I’m so grateful and proud
All I want is to sing it out loud.”

Ah, to write. It’s a beautiful thing. I love writing all the time, everywhere and anywhere I go. Nothing will stop me, I swear. I love writing all my emotions on paper. I love feeling the pen scratching on the paper. Ideas flow through me, drip down my soul. I am a poet, I am a novelist.
You gotta love the little joys in life.

While working at AOL, I was a part of the team that built Ficlets along with Kevin, Cindy, Jenna, and Ari. When AOL decided to shut our baby down, I contacted Kevin and got the ball rolling on Ficly. I’m more a musician and photographer than an author, but I love storytelling and the art of writing.

We continue to have a ton of fun working on this site and building the community, so thank you all for participating and let us know how we can make it better!

This time, it’s mostly Jason’s fault. He’s the one who convinced me that we couldn’t just leave well enough alone. He got the designers to donate their time, and wrote all the HTML, CSS and 95% of the javascript. I did the models and controllers. Nope, we couldn’t just let it go. We had to try it again.

17 year old attempting to juggle my beloved writing and A-Levels. Please be gentle =) Thought it might be time to write a proper profile piece. I’m…er…Abby. And…well…that’s me there. Somewhere to the…erm…left I think. Yup. I kind of comment on everything. I’m like a commenting freak. And … erm…this is a hell of a lot harder than I anticipated.

I’m also a geek. I’m a Trekky, Lord of the Rings addict, Star Wars fan…well I’ll sum it up by saying I love all things ComicCon. I’m an artist too. Ooh and I love history. And science. I can’t stop playing Assassin’s Creed…and Runescape. So bite me, blondies!!!

I have alcoholic tendencies =P … judgement will be met with drunken vomitting so good luck with that!

If I was religious, I think God would have kicked me out by now. Yet I still class myself as Christian, how odd.

All things truly evil come in cute packages. So don’t mess with the panda hat, OK?

Oh and I’ve written 11 books. But I can’t be bothered to publish. =S
    Love ya.

    J. A. Keane has spent the majority of his 18 years trying to act like a somewhat normal member of modern society, but seeing as nobody else seems to be acting normal these days (which basically makes the entire concept of “normality” redundant and nothing but a bad joke (my inner Comedian-from-Alan-Moore’s-“Watchmen” talking there)), he has decided to give up on that, and continue along his path of random offbeat-ness.
When he’s not doing that, he also likes to write long-winded rants on Tumblr, miniature rants on Twitter, medium sized rants on Facebook, and adamantly refuses to use LOLspeak (as he finds it annoying, and believes that it’s a slightly differentiated (but not THAT much, really, if you think about it) form of Newspeak).
And when he’s not doing any of that, he likes to write exaggerated biographies that are intended to make him sound more interesting than he actually is.
And after all that, he also really likes to end his website biographies on a joke.
