J. A. Keane has spent the majority of his 19 years trying to act like a somewhat normal member of modern society, but seeing as nobody else seems to be acting normal these days (which basically makes the entire concept of “normality” redundant and nothing but a bad joke (my inner Comedian-from-Alan-Moore’s-“Watchmen” talking there)), he has decided to give up on that, and continue along his path of random offbeat-ness.
When he’s not doing that, he also likes to write long-winded rants on Tumblr, miniature rants on Twitter, medium sized rants on Facebook, and adamantly refuses to use LOLspeak (as he finds it annoying, and believes that it’s a slightly differentiated (but not THAT much, really, if you think about it) form of Newspeak).
And when he’s not doing any of that, he likes to write exaggerated biographies that are intended to make him sound more interesting than he actually is.
And after all that, he also really likes to end his website biographies on a joke.

Love to read, never written much. Thought I’d give it a try.
Please, rate me harshly! I know we all like to be nice here, but please don’t give me a 5 unless you think a story could not have been any better and it really blows you away.
Similarly, do leave criticisms, constructive or not. I appreciate tough love, even if it’s something that you aren’t sure I (or anyone else) would agree with – that’s the best way to see how other people are thinking and, I think, to improve.
I try to apply these thoughts to my own comments/ratings and probably come off as somewhat rougher than most, but I definitely will explain what I thought could improve if I give a 3, or what I thought was outstanding for a 5.

“If people never did silly things, nothing intelligent would ever get done.”
—Ludwig WittgensteinMy name is Wednesday, and I guess you could say that for the most part that quote personifies me. If there were no silliness in this world I would die.
However, I guess it’s not all shits and giggles on my side of the pond. Because as much as I’d like, life is not just silliness.

listening to the murmur of the water,

is by no means a waste of time.

Beauty is the way lines meet to form a picture, the way everything around me began somewhere in the world and it took so many people, more than we could ever dream of, to get everything in this exact position in space and time. Beauty is an idea becoming a reality, a white flag waving as fighting ceases. Beauty is a smile, whether on the face of someone who has been through more than their fair share of hardship or on the face of an innocent child opening his/her eyes for the first time. Beauty is love, and love is beautiful.

“Conjoiner rejoinder poisoner concealer revelator. Look at it, rising up and rising down, taking everything with it.”
“What’s that?” Anna asked.
“Water,” the Dutchman said. “Well, and time.”

Kicking it at the University of Oklahoma. I like writing, science, almost all forms of music (literally), creating constructed languages, graphic/visual arts, and a good book. I will not hesitate in saying I am a Christian and I am proud to be an American.

Ok, I’m back. One heart attack, a triple CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, pronounced cabbage) and two sessions of beating my computer into submission. I am back.
I’m old. Real old. I’m so old I remember when dialing a phone number actually involved using a dial.
I’ve worked as a projectionist, an armored car driver, a help desk tech, a museum tech and laserist, an historical interperter at Old Sturbridge Village, a university assistant at a planetarium and observatory. I’ve been a salesman, a techie, A union VP and a storyteller. I remember the Gemini missions, but was born after sputnik. I have a love of History, Technology, Space, my religion (Christianity) and my country. I believe there is more that binds us together than can tear us apart.
I’ve loved many, married one, was involuntarily divorced.
Oh and I suppose I should tell you. I don’t understand your music and when it comes to sports, I don’t care if the Red Sox beat the 49’ers for the Stanley cup or not. Not judging, it’s just me.

I have finaly returned, to ficly and to the bullpen.
Ha! It’s taken me ages to realise how stupid and pretentiosu these quotes are, say goodbye all.

This time, it’s mostly Jason’s fault. He’s the one who convinced me that we couldn’t just leave well enough alone. He got the designers to donate their time, and wrote all the HTML, CSS and 95% of the javascript. I did the models and controllers. Nope, we couldn’t just let it go. We had to try it again.

I am a college student, firstly; a lover of both the conventional and the unorthodox. Dichotomies in fiction particularly fascinate me – with the concept of opposites attracting and whatnot.
Otherwise, art remains to be my secondary passion – I sketch, and paint with watercolors and acrylics mainly, and hope to collaborate with my current English professor in the creation of a children’s book; the illustrations therein would be my works. So yeah – I’ve got my fingers crossed for its completion and publication!
