I wish more readers would comment, or at least rate the story they read. Even negative feedback is better than no feedback.

I am an author of science fiction, general fiction short stories, poetry, and non-fiction. I have been published in several genres, including fantasy and poetry, as well as non fiction.
At one time I published my own computer magazine.
I have published several books using Print On Demand.
Spelling and grammar vex me sorely.

Man, so everything I write here sounds weird. I wish more people would sequel and prequel, I wish I was brave enough to do so more myself and I wish I had more time to spend talking to people on here, as everyone seems cool.

Haven’t been around in a while. But that does not mean I stopped writing. I digressed from short stories to an attempt at a full book. 40 page not a bad start I suppose. BUT its time for a break from that and to go back to my roots.
I have spent much time on grammar this past year as well as much time reading hopefully it will show in my future stories.

Kicking it at the University of Oklahoma. I like writing, science, almost all forms of music (literally), creating constructed languages, graphic/visual arts, and a good book. I will not hesitate in saying I am a Christian and I am proud to be an American.

Quote for today:
“I do feel honour creep upon me, and which is more, a certain rising in my flesh ;”
-from The Shoemaker’s Holiday by Thomas Dekker (in this work I came across the interesting word gallimafry, which I had not understood before…)
(This quote will soon disappear from here, better copy it if you want to keep it)

Seriously I can only write 1024 here too.
Well I’ve been writing for myself and others for a few years now and always seemed to either write too much or too little to make any kind of format work correctly. And when I found out about Ficly (Thank you Wil Wheaton) It seemed perfect. 4 stories in and 10 drafts in the works I know it is.
Most of my stuff is badly written I know that. But the idea’s are right.
I’ve found an editor to wrangle the words in with all the right punctuation. But proofreading and the other things that I never learned after years of English class I have yet to fix or find someone who can either keep up with my work pace or treat my babies (writing) with the right mix of punishment and respect.
I write what makes me laugh and generally only put an hour into each piece. Never expect greatness from my work just something funny or something to put a smile on your face. I write for fun never to offend.
Thank you and please enjoy.
PS I’m keeping these last 3 characters for my own HA.

“If people never did silly things, nothing intelligent would ever get done.”
My name is Wednesday, and I guess you could say that for the most part that quote personifies me. If there were no silliness in this world I would die.
However, I guess it’s not all shits and giggles on my side of the pond. Because as much as I’d like, life is not just silliness.

Rest is not idleness,
and to lie sometimes on the grass

listening to the murmur of the water,
or watching the clouds float across the sky
is by no means a waste of time.

I ain’t a writer right now, and I probably wont be one in the future, but I sure as hell enjoy the act of writing. I’ve only just started writing in the past few years, and even then have only produced short stories and shorter stories. I haven’t taken any classes, or learned from any one source, but I read a lot.
I take from what I read, and learn from the authors on my shelf. They’re the ones who’ve taught me to write, and I’ll never stop reading and learning. My writings are sporadic, my posting of stories even more so, and I don’t ever hope to be published, much less make it a full time job, but I enjoy it. So I guess I won’t ever stop writing either.

I dabble a little in a lot of things — writing, webcomics, gaming, photography, web design, music, and more. I’m a full-time code-wrangler and a part-time farmer with 40 acres, a lot of animals, and far, far too much to do.

I’m out of my element here, but that’s fine.
It’s a good place to practice the parts of story telling I love the most, namely world building.
I like my science fiction and I like my fantasy, but I prefer to keep them separate.
My style always seems to be overly formatted and abusive toward standard grammar, which will make more sense once you read a story of mine.
I write in spurts and get inspiration in phrases, so time may be long between submissions, but I’m trying to make a habit of this.
Feedback of any shape is always greatly appreciated.

Not much to say about me really. I write. I play music. I write music. And I enjoy reading Ficly-Stories.
I’ve been writing since high-school – which was so long ago, we walked to school in 4ft of snow with no shoes on and bread at the store cost a penny… ok.. .25 cents.. but i was able to get 10 candies for 5 cents.
SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED AND WON NANOWRIMO 2008, by writing a novel over 60,000 words long called: Amethyst: Outer-Rim based on a ficlets series written here!

Dr. Tim’s Neurotic Rules of Ficly Life
[Disclaimer: This is not intended to be binding nor in any way an expectation of general members of Ficly, league members, family members or wearers of Member’s Only jackets]
1. Comment to Story posting ratio must exceed 5:1. Goal is 10:1. In other words, I write a story then find five others (at least) upon which to comment before writing another.
2. For every solo shot or sequel of my own material, I must write a sequel or prequel to the work of another author. If I’m going easy on myself, participating in a challenge also fulfills this requirement.
3. If someone comments on one of my stories, I go find one of theirs upon which to comment. It only seems fair, and I like to think it encourages commenting.
4. Awesomeness is the goal, always. Call me on it when I fail, please.
5. Clearly mark mature content and err on the side of caution.
6. Golden Rule remains in effect for all sequels, prequels, and comments.
