Attempting NaNoWriMo for the first time this year, 2011. Wish me luck!
Dr. Tim’s Neurotic Rules of Ficly Life
[Disclaimer: This is not intended to be binding nor in any way an expectation of general members of Ficly, league members, family members or wearers of Member’s Only jackets]
1. Comment to Story posting ratio must exceed 5:1. Goal is 10:1. In other words, I write a story then find five others (at least) upon which to comment before writing another.
2. For every solo shot or sequel of my own material, I must write a sequel or prequel to the work of another author. If I’m going easy on myself, participating in a challenge also fulfills this requirement.
3. If someone comments on one of my stories, I go find one of theirs upon which to comment. It only seems fair, and I like to think it encourages commenting.
4. Awesomeness is the goal, always. Call me on it when I fail, please.
5. Clearly mark mature content and err on the side of caution.
6. Golden Rule remains in effect for all sequels, prequels, and comments.

While working at AOL, I was a part of the team that built Ficlets along with Kevin, Cindy, Jenna, and Ari. When AOL decided to shut our baby down, I contacted Kevin and got the ball rolling on Ficly. I’m more a musician and photographer than an author, but I love storytelling and the art of writing.
We continue to have a ton of fun working on this site and building the community, so thank you all for participating and let us know how we can make it better!

I was born in Milton Keynes, England back in 1986, moved to Luton when I was 3, and then moved to Los Angeles shortly after my 21st birthday purely because I could.
I’m the creator and Head Writer for Jump Leads, a Scifi-comedy webcomic which can be found at www.jump-leads.com, the Editor-in-Chief of SoulGeek Webcomics (soulgeek.com/comics/), the co-writer of Left 4 Dead parody webseries “Boomer’s Day Off” (benpaddon.net/boomers-day-off/), and the creator, co-writer and host of PortsCenter (portscenter.tv). I’m also working on a LOT of other projects. Lawks!

I am currently writing two online serial novels at April Raines’ Storybook Corner. A dark fantasy called The Shadows of Sicily is the primary one. The secondary story is an exploration of community called GURD 2108. There is also a smattering of poetry.
My favourite books include: ’Kusiel’s Avatar’ by Jacqueline Carey, ‘The Stand’ by Stephen King, ‘New Enlarged Pocket Anthology of Robert Frost’s Poems’, and ‘Unconditional Parenting’ by Alfie Kohn.

I wish I had saved my bio from Ficlets. I’ll ever be able to remember what I had said about myself on there, but that bio seemed to get me friends. I don’t believe I’m a very good writer, but friends say my stories [yes, I did save my three favorite stories from Ficlets] are very well written.
But I’m rambling.
I’m fifteen years old, attending a Catholic High School in which I shall not name, I live for friends, I’m here to grow as a writer, & I’d wish to live Somewhere Over The Rainbow.
I’ll write stories with you, just give me a shout, and an idea.
I’d love to hear what you think of my stories, so leave comments, etc.
Some of my stories are based on true events that have happened to me, with a bit of twist, naturally.

Wow! Ficlets is back! Whoops, I mean Ficly :D
Does anyone remember me from sniff our beloved, deceased Ficlets? Insert Pen Name Here, aka IPNH, aka Lane.
I love to write, poems and fiction mostly. I was addicted to Ficlets and I’m so so SO glad to see it back as Ficly! I am in the process of writing a book, some of it was posted up here but it’s difficult to do in Ficly form so I’m not continuing it here. I’ll mention Ficly if it’s ever published however :)Sequel- prequels- I’m flattered, please do!
