I remember the days when this site was called Ficlets. And we liked it. Both ways, uphill, in the snow. Huh?

I’m just another person on the Internet trying to become a writer. That’s the dream, at least. I also blog here: http://strugglingwriter.wordpress.com

We were two against the world. Now the odds are slightly against me.

I’m 65 and have never written anything more creative than a book report in school or a memo in corporate America. My youngest daughter introduced me to ficly and the character limits are great for me, because I don’t need to have a big idea to begin.

I’ve been a “Writer” for about three years now. I’ve taken an assortment of college creative writing classes (CNF, Fiction, News Writing) and write as much as I can (you know how it is). I may write everyday one week, and write twice the next. I have a job, I go to UNH and I like to ski and go to shows.

I’m an anglophile history buff who loves genealogy, going to movies, my cat, and day trips to fairs, the ocean, historical sites, and casinos. I’d way rather eat out than in. Chilis for corn on the cob and burgers anyone?

Was married to the love of my life, cared for him at home for three years when he became disabled, and now am learning to navigate the rough waters of widowhood. Hardest learning experience of my life. Writing and journaling helps through the toughest times.

Another one of the refugees from the old Ficlets site. See my old FICLETS HERE!
Not much to say about me really. I write. I play music. I write music. And I enjoy reading Ficly-Stories.

I’ve been writing since high-school – which was so long ago, we walked to school in 4ft of snow with no shoes on and bread at the store cost a penny… ok.. .25 cents.. but i was able to get 10 candies for 5 cents.

SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED AND WON NANOWRIMO 2008, by writing a novel over 60,000 words long called: Amethyst: Outer-Rim based on a ficlets series written here!

I’ve been bestowed the great honour of being part of the brother-and-sisterhood known as: The League of Awesome. Henceforth I shall bear the monicker: The Master of the +10 Guitar of Awesomeness!

Ficleteer (not a ficlyteer), Computer Scientist, Philosopher.

The 60-1024-character short story form is still a ficlet, no matter what anyone says!

If you want a story to continue, sequel it, rather than waiting for someone else to.

Kicking it at the University of Oklahoma. I like writing, science, almost all forms of music (literally), creating constructed languages, graphic/visual arts, and a good book. I will not hesitate in saying I am a Christian and I am proud to be an American.

I want to be a high fantasy writer like Marion Zimmer Bradley or Anne McCaffrey. Unfortunately, I seem to be a spiritual fiction writer, but only for off religions. I find that my writing pours from me and I can go back and read it and have no clue what I had written till I do! When it’s forced, I can tell, and I think everyone else can too. I have an obsession with finding the right wardrobe, doorway, shadow to side step through. Faery is there, a place where all things are real, Gods are people, legends are Gods and the more people believe in them, the more power they have in reality. I hope you enjoy my stuff, even if you don’t believe. Just cause I don’t believe in faery, doesn’t mean it isn’t there, just means I can’t see it.

I’m a Science Fiction, Fantasy and Romance writer. Creator of the PIACT Undercover Agent series and designer of that nifty logo you see up top. Love to talk writing shop so if you ever want to chat just bell, blip, nudge, smile or chat to me.

I’m that guy who looks like you don’t wanna meet cos he’s so cute there’s gotta be something wrong with him, there isn’t.

Having said that I am a nice guy, just a little eccentric, with a sense of humor that’s out of this world. Like I think it comes from Jupiter or something. So be warned, if I sequel I tends to mess things up a bit since I really like the challenge of changing things from what they look like they’re supposed to be.

Please feel free to ask me not to sequel, please don’t be offended if I have. and if you tell me off I’ll go to a corner and cry… sniff

Okay, now that the niceties are out of the way let’s sharpen our pencils, square off on the paper, and to battle we go!

I tried to make this bio exactly 1024 characters long, I wonder if it worked?

This time, it’s mostly Jason’s fault. He’s the one who convinced me that we couldn’t just leave well enough alone. He got the designers to donate their time, and wrote all the HTML, CSS and 95% of the javascript. I did the models and controllers. Nope, we couldn’t just let it go. We had to try it again.
