I dabble a little in a lot of things — writing, webcomics, gaming, photography, web design, music, and more. I’m a full-time code-wrangler and a part-time farmer with 40 acres, a lot of animals, and far, far too much to do.

Take a day off to read this.
Young, starry-eyed teenager trying to reach the whole world through her writing. And is failing rather miserably.
Yeah, I’m Chinese. Not from China but from Singapore. And, no, Singapore is NOT located in the middle of China. Go goggle it.
And enjoy the rest of your day after you finish with it.

Wow. I’ve been gone for awhile. Life has sort of taken over and my writing has withered along with the leaves on the trees. I feel I should have forced the writing when I felt less than inspired, but those days also seemed overwhelming in so many ways, so I stayed away. I think today is the day I would like to dust off the keyboard and begin the journey once more to find and hone my voice. I can only hope that there are some who will stick with me as I make my way back towards the literary world.

I’m making up for not being here as much. Going through mental crisises, physical pain dillemas, emotional distress and school. Anyway, I hope to be posting more and soon.

Hey guys. I’m around here every now and again.
I write my stories at 3 AM.
Ficly is nifty, you’re all cool cats.
Bring on the comments, I eat them for breakfast.
I always try to challenge myself. I often bite off more than I can chew.
I’m a multi-dimensional being so sometimes my tenses will be kerfuffed.
I don’t rate anymore because I have concluded that I don’t know what I’m talking about.

I wish more readers would comment, or at least rate the story they read. Even negative feedback is better than no feedback.

Comments are nice. Criticism, praise, whatever.
I also write a blog with four other people in addition to my Ficly wanderings.
I will like you better if you get your tenses straight.
Jul.08.2010: Back again, I guess. I’ve been avoiding Ficly for some reason. Time to sit down and write again.
Mar.14.2010: I’m back on Ficly after a long time. Into fullscreen minimalist text editors like Q10 and WriteMonkey right now.

Beauty is the way lines meet to form a picture, the way everything around me began somewhere in the world and it took so many people, more than we could ever dream of, to get everything in this exact position in space and time. Beauty is an idea becoming a reality, a white flag waving as fighting ceases. Beauty is a smile, whether on the face of someone who has been through more than their fair share of hardship or on the face of an innocent child opening his/her eyes for the first time. Beauty is love, and love is beautiful.

Charlie K was a single celled organism who had grown on the side of a test tube in an alchemist’s laboratory. His life was a simple one, and Charlie was not happy with it at all.
One day the Sultan summoned the famous alchemist Yakuul Kon-Zizzi.
“Zizzi You have spent fifty years and a ton of gold trying to create the elixer of life. Either you will produce it today or you will be executed.”
Zizzi had no fear because back at the lab, the elixer was complete, waiting to be tested.
What the alchemist did not take into account was the will of the single celled organism that would be later known as Charlie k.
The three microns Charlie had to cross to reach the elixer seemed like hundreds of miles.
Later that evening when the sultan was removing the head of the alchemist, a young boy only one day old felt no regret that the alchemist had to die, because with the help of the philosopher’s stone, Charlie k was born.

“If people never did silly things, nothing intelligent would ever get done.”
My name is Wednesday, and I guess you could say that for the most part that quote personifies me. If there were no silliness in this world I would die.
However, I guess it’s not all shits and giggles on my side of the pond. Because as much as I’d like, life is not just silliness.

Rest is not idleness,
and to lie sometimes on the grass
under trees on a summer’s day,
listening to the murmur of the water,
or watching the clouds float across the sky
is by no means a waste of time.

I’ve been writing in one way or another for as long as I can remember and before that I was daydreaming (oh, wait…still do that). Favorite genres: fantasy/sci-fi, mystery, suspense, twilight zonish stuff etc. Pretty eclectic. Love to read, write, walk and talk. Main nemesis: procrastination & lack of focus. Published a few times for flash fic and poetry. Nothing major. Editing first fantasy novel for submission. Others on the back burner. Can see some of my work here:
Looking forward to reading, commenting and receiving comments & getting to know you.

J. A. Keane has spent the majority of his 19 years trying to act like a somewhat normal member of modern society, but seeing as nobody else seems to be acting normal these days (which basically makes the entire concept of “normality” redundant and nothing but a bad joke (my inner Comedian-from-Alan-Moore’s-“Watchmen” talking there)), he has decided to give up on that, and continue along his path of random offbeat-ness.
When he’s not doing that, he also likes to write long-winded rants on Tumblr, miniature rants on Twitter, medium sized rants on Facebook, and adamantly refuses to use LOLspeak (as he finds it annoying, and believes that it’s a slightly differentiated (but not THAT much, really, if you think about it) form of Newspeak).
And when he’s not doing any of that, he likes to write exaggerated biographies that are intended to make him sound more interesting than he actually is.
And after all that, he also really likes to end his website biographies on a joke.
