This is the website I’ve been waiting for my whole life.

Byn is a 19-year-old girl from New England. She has been writing for 7 years, and although she prefers to write fanfiction, she has been known to write a decent amount of original work, as well—especially in the area of science fiction. She hopes to someday publish her work, but until then, she is more than happy to share it for free. She is hopelessly addicted to Twitter, and her sometimes-excessive Tweets can be found here.

After a Ficly hiatus, I’m starting a new series with my old friend thebetweenspace. Check it out!

Yes, I’m a Ficlets survivor. I write for fun and nothing else. I love feedback on my stories so don’t be shy if you have something to say! Constructive criticism does wonders for me.
In general I like to read, write, play the piano, knit and swing.
Send me a note if you want to say hi or start a series. I’m always open to new ideas.
Happy Ficlying!

Hello! I’m Acantha :)
Most of my writing focuses on fantasy and science fiction, and I tend to write things that are a little out there in terms of accessibility. Sorry for that :)
Outside of writing, my hobbies are baking, reading, crafting, and gaming (both the video and the pen-and-paper variety). My favorite authors include Robin McKinley, Umberto Eco, Neil Gaiman, and J.R.R. Tolkien, plus many, many others. I’ve been told I read too much for my own good, but I’m of the belief that you can never have too much to read :)
I used the same pen name back on Ficlets, in case you’re wondering!
Can I just say how great it is to be back? Because it really is great. I missed this place so much.
Thanks for reading!

Tiphanie, a chick with boring brown eyes, does random things like make individual calendars for each month or get addicted to random, not-fun games. When she’s not ruining things, she paints and draws and writes all over everything, including but not limited to bedroom walls, desks, books, newspapers, the internet, and your face.
Lastly, she thinks talking in third person is absolutely hilarious.

You know that moment when you realize you’re in over your head?
“I am steeped in blood so far, that returning would be as tedious as going ahead.”

I missed this place. I missed posting. I can’t be the user that I was before, but I’m going to post. -
“Tell me a bit about yourself.” She smiled at that, like she had been expecting me to say just that, just now. “What can I say?” She sat forward and gave me a nice view down her low cut top as she tapped the ash from her cigarette into the ashtray, sitting back and biting the end of the black holder in her white teeth but I was too distracted by how it pushed against her red painted lips. “I’m just a simple girl. I like all the things that most girls like; poetry, music, dancing…I do like to dance. Do you dance?” What could I say? “For you, Toots?” Her blue eyes slimmed as she inhaled more smoke, and I sat forward, brushing a wave of brunette locks from her pale cheek. “Anything.” Another smile, warmer but just as dazzling as the last. “Oh, and I write.” She mentioned, offhandedly. “You do?” I couldn’t keep the interest from my voice, I didn’t try. She nodded and blew a smoke ring, tapping her ash into the tray again. “I write everything; friendships, lovers, pain…I even sometimes write my own death.”

I like shiny things. Are you a shiny thing?
