I followed someone’s link to their stories in the Ficlet memorial, and that reminded me that there must be a tremendous reserve of ficlets there that we could draw upon to create new stories.

So in this challenge, post a story that could have been a sequel or a prequel to a ficlet. Then use the comments to link to the ficlet.
