What Used to be Earth

“Warning! Warning!”

Enigmas shouts awoke me from my peaceful sleep.

“Estimated twenty five minutes before reaching destination”

But her words did not reach me. My eyes were laid upon what used to be my home. What used to be Earth. At it’s prime, it was a blue and green ball of wonders. Human achievement, human failure. Marvels of architecture and spoils of war.

Now, it’s just a brown and acid green blob.

No one knows what happened. No one knows what we did wrong.

In the back of my head, thoughts are eating away at my brain. Do I wake them up? Do I bring them along in my search it?

Is it still there?

I sit and think to myself, or what I thought was myself.

This isn’t my home, I can only pray it will be one day in the future.

Or…in the past.
