"Cold Whispers" Part Three

He ran his fingers across the rolled back odometer and reminiscence about the first time he sat behind its steering wheel. The only thing that had been on his mind was kissing her butt-chin.

He wanted to look to his right, but he knew crushed metal was all he would see. Except that was a lie he told himself to forget the imprint her chin left on the glove compartment. Would she moan if he kissed the artifact? I don’t know, his subconscious whispered.

He turned to his window to take another look at the sky. In between the droplets of rain, he could tell it was still too early to be graced with stars. The only light he saw was from the flashing headlights of oncoming traffic. Could they yield the anticipated results?
