I Wish That I Never Found That Stair Case

I went down the creaky stair case. The room at the bottom was small, and had stone walls. There was a book in the center. Fascinated, I went over and picked up the book. I blew on it to remove some of the dust on top.
When I opened the book, I read horrible things. I only read one page before I dropped the book in terror. I stumbled backwards and fell. Then there was a unholy scream. Something came out of the book. It was a transparent woman. A ghost.
She had on an old blue blouse, and skirt. She had knee socks, and black shoes. She squinted her eyes at me. Then they glared at me.
“Ami I’ll kill you for what you’ve done,” she hissed.
“W-what did I do?” I asked, shaking.
“You read from the forbidden book. And it was your family that killed me,” she snarled, " insignificant human." then she raised her hand, and I fell. I kept on falling. I never hit the bottom. There was screaming and wailing from everywhere.
I was in an abyss.
“You shouldn’t have read the book. Ignorance is better,” I heard her say, as I fell.
