I never thought it would end this way… I gave them the warning. I showed them all the signs, but they did not listen. Michael floated down to the charred ground that was New York. Buildings were non existent. The streets were filled with ruin and debris. Silence was the only thing to be heard.

Michael looked around, but there was no sign of life. He began to ‘tour’ the city. He had to find survivors. He knew there were those who prepared themselves for the event. Only a select few knew of the day to come. Michael was one of them. He was the one that was suppose to warn Humanity of the impending doom so that they could prevent it.

But Humanity did not want to accept the truth. They did not want to face the fact that they could be wiped off the planet in an instant, Michael understood that. But look where humanity is now… The young Harbinger had been walking for quite some time now, lost in his thoughts. What do I do now? Is there anything I can do? He rose from the ground and continued his search…

I assume that Michael is the archangel. This is an interesting setup to a post-apocalyptic story. I like how Michael actually cares for humanity and is not just a disinterested higher being.

Intense and dark but works very well for what you were trying to get across, I think.

Thank you! I wasn’t sure of it at first, but I liked how it turned out. I hope to continue on it.

An interesting take on the apocalypse, good characterisation of Michael, and a nice little message in there about how humanity can’t accept it’s own insignificance in the bigger scheme of things…

Not sure about that very last set of ellipses, it leaves everything hanging a bit too much – you’ve got a strong ending without the punctuation anyway.

Still, a good read – very intriguing! MH :)
