My parents were sitting right in the living room so he grabbed my hand and pulled me to my room. He shut the door behind him then came over with me. I was just standing looking out the window. I turned around and looked at Jared.
“Lucas is harmless right? There’s no way he was looking through the window right?” I asked him. He stared at me waiting for more.
“He was out by the window crawling through the bushes, but said he was looking for Fluffy and I don’t know…” I looked at the ground unable to look him in the eyes. He went over to the back door and looked into my backyard. I stood there and stared at his back.
“He left, he walked down the street as soon as I talked to him.” I said. Jared turned around.
“Are you sure?” he was asking a lot of questions. He looked at me with such seriousness that I could barely talk. I nodded. He went and sat down on my bed holding his head in his hands.
