Repentance - Part V

Jacob followed the priest to the back hallways behind the altar where Jacob’s office was. Jacob entered the room and walked over to the fireplace. He stuck his hand inside the fire to flip the switch on the log to open the chamber behind it. After the audible click, a stone slap moved to open a large chamber. The chamber was fairly empty. There were two other priests who stood behind a half beaten Michael tied to a metal chair.

When Jacob entered the room, Michael looked up and spat out blood, “I knew it was you.”

“Quiet!” the other priest yelled and slapped Michael across the face.

“When our Father finds me, even hell would not be a suitable punishment for you!”

Another slap.

“Leave us,” Jacob said. The two behind Michael left, but the other priest hesitated. “Timothy, leave us,” Jacob said more sternly. Timothy left the room.

“I don’t want to hear anything you have to say.” Michael spat.

Jacob SLAPPED Michael across the face. “Oh, you will Michael. You are going to gain me my repentance!”
