Bio-Droid XJ-399

Bio-droid XJ-399 landed heavily on the space station’s surface, smoke still coming from the booster rockets on his back. The bulky, white, angular exoskeleton that protected him from the lack of atmosphere didn’t obscure the spectacular view. His salamander-like head moved slowly up, down, left, right, taking it all in as he walked forward. The satellite’s orbit was degrading, moving closer and closer to the rings, which also orbited Saturn.
The rings were comprised of dirty balls of ice, the largest were at most a few meters across. In a few days this place would be hit by one hell of a hailstorm. The Station resembled a spinning top. The living quarters were on the outer edge in order to simulate artificial gravity. It was built for humans who hadn’t been redesigned for living in space. Old fashioned, but it’d be a shame to waste it, and XJ-399 could see the utility of making his home in what looked like a derelict and very old structure. It wouldn’t be derelict for long. Time to fix her up.
