As sorry as I am to drag out this debate, I would have to disagree with Mr. Voln. Either Jacquec has all the acting ability of a houseplant or we are expected to believe that Major Alder survived the attack with barely any injurys.

While the Conglomerates laser weapons were novelty items to imply their technological superiority, constant shots would have been more than enough to scorch the flesh from any cyborg’s bones. For Jacquec’s character to emerge from the smoke with nothing more than cartoonish scorch marks is an insult to those that gave there lives on that day.

And don’t get me started on the presence of the xV-Ultimarto, a gunship that didn’t even enter development until twenty years after the events of the film.
