Ficly

Silent Eye

People think I’m indifferent. That I’m faceless, and therefore unprejudiced.

But this isn’t true. Just because you see only your pretty little face in me doesn’t mean I don’t see it too. And I judge you by every stain you’ve left on me from your disgusting zits.

You sicken me; your vanity curdles my mercurian blood. You steal my silver solitude to gaze upon yourself in harsh fluorescence. And if I see your scars, your bruises, your blackened cheeks, it’s the only moment of the day that I take pleasure in, because you’ve finally realized the truth about yourself and your kind.

So continue to warp me and put me in your funhouses; I know it’s just you denying your true image. Continue to peer into me for hours; I’ll take pleasure in your ugliness.

Just remember now that I always watch you as you watch me.
