Is she the one?

He stood there and watched her. Watched her as the goon, and therefore the unwanted one, opened the door for her.

Is she the one? Are you there?

He stopped himself.

No. No she isn’t the one. Too…too rough. Too hard.

He stood in the shadows hungry, but not hungry for something trivial as food. Something more…personal.

No she isn’t the one. She is the enemy.

She looked around, then glanced at her watch. It was 1:55am. He will not show himself until the proper time. No sooner, no later. Not that he was constantly punctual. Why would he need to be? He can come and go as he pleases. But in order to abide by the rules, he needed to rely on time.

Such a silly concept time. So linear, so boring. If I had my way time would be fun.

The time was here. The time for him to make his presence known. He stepped out from his hiding place. Making sure he was never fully seen.

“You wanted to see me?” He asked in a low deep voice. Merely for effect.
