Poison Skull Snakes With Forked Tongues

Sometimes, I see things that aren’t there. Other times, I’ll see things that are there in a different way than everyone else. My eyes don’t work right. They see too much. I know that’s what the problem is.

The doctors say there’s nothing physically wrong with my eyes. They never fail to emphasize the word physically. According to them, the problem is inside my brain. They use big words to try and explain what’s going on inside my head, as if they could see through my skull. But I know they can’t. I’m the only one who can see that way.

So, I know they’re lying when they tell me I need the poisons they give me. I can see the way the snakes in their skulls slither into liar coils. The forked tongues flicker inside them, tasting the doctors’ ears to sample the fruits of their false words.

I don’t fight them anymore. I take the poisons. I know the poisons can’t kill me. The poison hurts my eyes, makes my brain not work right. I see like the rest of you. I see only the veil drawn down over the ugly world.
