Chance [another obscenely short poem]

Avatar Author: Ana Cristina Writer, teacher, & hopeless romantic with a penchant for falling for fictional characters. Read Bio

I am in love with possibility
Infatuated with chance
It’s the might-have-been’s
And could-I-do’s
That excite me
Propelling me forward
Towards the next golden opportunity.

You say it’s “another obscenely short poem,” I say it’s another insanely awesome poem.

so you play the lottery and push boundaries? lol much love, Ana. I love this little poem. It is the hope of something better that drives most of us.

Sigh, I don’t know why I do this, but I’ve gone and done a sequel again. It seems awful to me (my poem, not yours), but there it is. You got me thinking, and that was the result.

I like those lines – not forced at all; that takes skill.

    Nice, descriptive but concise.

i love this poem i buy lottery tickets and while i am waiting i dream about what i would do if i won but i have never checked one because that would kill the dream my car is filled with them.
