“Aaron I can’t tie it! I can’t tie it!” Crystal yelled in complete panic.
Aaron tugged on the tie to finish the knot and held on.
“10, 9, 8.” the countdown continued.
A violent shaking overtook the module and the noise became deafening. Crystal shut her eyes tight and gripped Aaron’s arm as she prepared for the end of her life.
“7, 6, 5.”
Aaron looked at Crystal and wiped the sweat from her face. Fear was now overcoming him as well. He reflected on his life in these moments regretting never leaving colony to explore the universe like all the brave ones. Now he’d never have the chance.
The noise of deep space suction and it’s winds entered the module as the separation sequence was about to finalize. Their hearts racing with the lights shining off their sweat soaked skin. The wind swept through the room as the deep space vacuum was about to greet them. Aaron held tighter.
Crystal took in a breath.
Aaron shut his eyes.
