The Silk Lily: The Seven Wrongs

Lamps sputtered and died, plunging the room into darkness. The two girls screamed in alarm but their screams were instantly lost as terrible winds rose from the center of the room that had been empty only a moment ago.

Flying debris attacked both of them, borne on furious gales that rivalled both of the recent hurricanes. Tetsuko recognized bits and pieces of the room as they bit into her flesh. Brushes, fragile containers and bits of jewelry assaulted them and disappeared into the darkness.

Tetsuko lunged forward grabbing at Kiri blindly while protecting her face with her other arm. Her hand found hair that was whipping wildly in the winds. The older girl yanked hard, pulling her new charge back, away from whatever was creating the storm.

Glass shattered against the walls and there was a boom of thunder as seven ghostly figures appeared.

Each one had marks of violence upon them and they glowed with a flickering purple aura that spread bone-chilling frost and a sense of eternal menace.
