Curiouser and Curiouser

Once downstairs, Dolo surveyed his surroundings. Steampunk and UFO posters donned the walls. In one corner sat a table with a box of many-sided dice as well as some Magic: The Gathering cards. At the opposite corner he spotted astrological charts on the wall and two people on bean bag chairs reading tarot cards. To the left of the stairs about a dozen chairs were arranged in a semicircle, facing a man standing behind a lectern at the front of the room. Dolo found an empty chair and slunk in when the man behind the lectern began to speak.

“Good evening everyone. As Viceroy I call this meeting of the Secret Writers Society to order. Let’s welcome our newcomer, Dolo.” The leader of the group beamed at him. “I would like to start us off with an ode I wrote. Then, as per our initiation rules, our newest member will regale us with a piece of his own work then be moved to in to the box. Let us release last week’s new member. I know we appreciate what they had to go through, since we have all been there.”
