Lancaster dreaded the start of school. It wasn’t school itself, really. He hated the commute. He lived just close enough that the buses didn’t come by his house, and when he walked, he always got annoying random encounters. He was 50 levels higher than them, but he still had to waste time slaying squirrels and stray dogs out for his blood. His inventory was filled with acorns and collars. He envied the kids elsewhere, who had stronger encounters. Sure, it was dangerous, but it was exciting! Adventure! Nobody adventures slaying squirrels.
And that is why, the last day of summer break, he went to see his friends, to deliberate on the subject.
