Maidens Of The Sands: Messengers

She still couldn’t shake the feeling that this was all wrong despite the repetitious circumstances. Crossing the Equator with fumbling guards on the watch and vicious animals at the surface. Infiltrating the most fortified city of the Northern Kingdom even though they are on the most wanted list. Rescuing a falsely accused Northern prince from a maximum security prison. All of it was utterly boring and was putting Xafira in a very bad mood.

“This is a bad idea.” Xafira muttered though the earpiece for about the umpteenth time.

Indiua chuckled next to her as they propelled themselves through the sand, “You’re only making it worse for yourself and everyone else.”

Indiua was right. Indiua was always right. But still, everyone that the excuse the king gave was ridiculous. Xafira still remembered the messenger that they found half-dead in The Equator with a scroll saying, “My son has been accused of treason and sedition. Please see if this true or not and come to the Northern Palace as soon as possible.”
