The Letters from the Dusty Old Shoe Box

I found them a couple years ago. They were just resting in a dusty old shoe box for who knows how long. I had no intention of stumbling across them, but it is kind of a blessing that I did.

In that dusty old shoe box were letters signed by my Mother and Father to each other way back when they were young. By the looks of it, they were madly in love and inseparable. Every so often when I am feeling down and blue I go back to that dusty old shoe box and read them; the poetry my Mother wrote is music to my ears, and the fantastic stories my Father portrayed are my bread and butter.

I have not told anyone about them, I like to think they are my little secret. I also have not moved the box from where it has been placed either. I would not dare risk losing any of them. The feelings that I get reading those letters are indescribable. They truly loved each other. I hope some day I can love someone as much as they did.

My parents died when I was an infant; these letters ensure me that they were great people.
