“You said you lived with your mother?” Parker questioned.
“She is my mother’s sister; I just call her mom ‘cause that’s what she is to me.”
“Oh, well you know the ancient rules, don’t you?”
“Yes. Everyone knows them. Why?”
“Werewolves are the sworn enemy of the vampires, and the vampires’ sworn enemy of the werewolves. There is no way we can be together.” Parker pouted.
“And is that supposed to stop us?” I asked.
“Well… apparently no.” He chuckled. I wrapped his arm around me.
“Promise me something Parker.”
“What?”
“We’ll be together forever. No matter what happens.”
“Vivian, I promise to you on this night that we will be together forever no matter what.”
I kissed his hand. “And I Vivian promises to you Parker that we will be together forever no matter what.”
We laid on the bed for hours just talking and getting to know each other better.
