Hot, disgusting breath huffed over Willow’s face, making her shiver. The demon wielding said breath drew back, chuckling deviously. His gnarled ram horns weighed heavily upon his disgustingly colored head, coated in a greasy sheen like the rest of his body. The demon used a yellowed claw to push Willow’s head upwards, meeting her gaze and forcing the tears she’d been fighting out. The girl shivered hard, whimpering quietly. The demon chuckled at this.

“Where is your guardian angel now, dear?” His voice was the hiss of a thousand snakes, deepened to sound as the thrum of a bass.

“I-I d-don’t k-now.” Willow’s voice was high and terrified. The demon laughed heartily at this, causing Willow to sob loudly.

“Here.”

The demon looked over his shoulder, a horrid grin taking over his features. “Ah, so the raven joins us? How cute.”

Reeve let Hawthorne slide into his hand, and he glared hard.

“I am Reeve Barrett. And I’m here to remind you just who you’re dealing with.”
