The Best Part About Words

The best part about words is that they allow people to be as vague or as clear as they choose to be. A “dog” could range from a Chihuahua that fits in Paris Hilton’s purse to a German shepherd that’s chasing me to the drug dogs that I would sometimes see in my high school. A “bird” could be a hummingbird, Big Bird, or an ostrich. A “boy” could be an innocent three year-old watching Sesame Street or sixteen year-old watching porn. And then there’s the incredibly vague words: things and stuff. “I’ve got many things in my room”. “I have a lot of stuff”. Those things or that stuff could be anything. They could be: eggplants, pudding, mushrooms, Farrah Fawcett posters, ironing boards, chandeliers, spatulas, pillows, cups, beer bottles, water bottles, watermelons, waterproof jackets, bananas, my best friend’s dog, my dog’s best friend, my toothbrush, your toothbrush, your grandma’s toothbrush, motor oil, vegetable oil, peanut oil, olive oil, baby oil, and all the other things and stuff that I haven’t mentioned.
