My favorite book opens with the line
“I’m feeling a bit light headed, maybe you should drive”
And lately I’ve been thinking about the seasons,
all through the winter, it’s been freezing.
I think I need some drugs, but know
I just need some time alone.
Though you’ve been gone from my life for months,
the things inside me, I just can’t confront.
My sheets stay half used
on this bed they made for two.
It’s alright, it’s alright.

Every day is getting warmer, reminds me of being just eighteen.
When I felt that sinking feeling, when I heard your shaken voice.

You cried “I miss you, please come home,
remember all the places we used to roam?
Young and in love, long ago.”

“Follow the glow, please follow me home.”

I’ve been writing the book full of my mistakes.
Trying my might, testing my fate.
I’ve been listening to albums that helped me grow.
The cover read “all things go”.

Very sad and effectively so. Nicely done, on both installments. You got me a little misty eyed somehow.
