Oi! Your voice is in my head!
What’s it doing in there?
I don’t know if it should be there,
Maybe we should get it out.
But it silently refuses to leave.
It doesn’t distract me,
It has good behavior,
But when I turn my mind loose
Into the pastures of imagination,
Quietly, kindly, it swirls through my mind.
Its quiet, smooth, purposefully meandering pace
Perfectly polishing the rich, pure, strong tone.
Its sound rolls nicely through my mind’s ear,
Even thought I can’t understand its words.
Alright, I think to your snippet of a voice,
An amused smile gently tugging my lips,
I guess I can put up with you.
