A sea of souls
Below me
Is restless and cries out in the void
And every one an island in
The darkness of mere being

Astoundingly
Inclusive
The ones who have the gold make the rules
The bylaws ever shifting in
The darkness of mere being

The dew drops float
Suspended
The air is prefixed by a matrix
Of water droplets, lighting up
The darkness of mere being

A rainbow shines
In aether
Intangible, but still tangible
A massive contradiction in
The darkness of mere being

The feeling love
Is power
It conquers all that stands in its way
It vanquishes the total of
The darkness of mere being

In zero lux
I’m sitting
For love’s unknown, a myst’ry to me
And I’m condemned for all time to
The darkness of mere being

This is lonely, capitalistic, and dark. I really liked it.

  2. Avatar ElshaHawk (LoA)

seems time is very slow in the darkness.. and therefore even longer to wait.. is it torture or just a phase? :)

  3. Avatar Abstract

Can’t believe I forgot to attribute “the darkness of mere being” quote to Jung.

  4. Avatar 32 Squared

@Abstract; attributing in your comments is just fine, just not enough space to waste with limited characters. I like this, I wonder who the protagonist is.
