In gratitude

Avatar Author: Rachel Addison Miller Read Bio

There are so many types of angels. Angels of compassion, of vibrancy, of depth and of breadth. Parent-angels and friend-angels and lover-angels.

Then there are angels less recognized. Angels who appear as demons. They come into our lives in their disguise, to break down the crutches we truly don’t need. It’s hard to love them, yet hard to think of what our lives would be without them. Only in retrospect can we see all that they have done for us – put us through the fire so that we come out stronger, better, and unafraid. They force us to face the darkness within ourselves that we would never volunteer to see.

We are transformed.

Thank you, angel-demons.

Again, this story is amazingly revelatory. To think of the demon angels with a sort of love..
