Surrealism

“Okay, libraries. That was something that I thought I could go my entire life without hearing until I heard it, and that’s even after my sister got turned into a refugee straight out of Macross.” James deadpanned, mind boggled by the sheer surreality of the situation.

“Listen, I don’t know where your… where Chase, whoever that is, is. I never met the person, and you’ve kidnapped the wrong people to find out. Not all of the robots, or the people who work with them, kidnap people. In fact, there’s an entire group of us who are trying to stop the ones who do. We’ve managed to get people back, but they’re… Well, they’re not in any condition to rejoin society at this point.” Lisa said, trying to treat the subject delicately.

“If you want, we can take you to our base, where we can find out if we have her, or him.” James offered, earning an ‘Are you crazy?’ look from Lisa.

“If you’re pulling some kind of trick, I swear I will make your life a living hell.” the woman snarled, but helped them out of the trunk.
