“But…what am I supposed to do to him?” Star asked. “He seems fairly healthy at this point, and I’m morally opposed to…processing…people who don’t need it.”

“Robovegan, huh?” Jason chuckled. “Just scan him for now. He’s a computer geek. He wants a ‘backup’ just in case.”

“That makes a certain amount of sense, I suppose.” Star started putting blank cubes into the storage panniers on her hips. “Anyone else I should do? You, for instance?”

Jason chuckled. “I’m good, thanks.”

“Hmph.” Star smirked. “You just don’t want me to have the chance to root around in your memories.”

“Well, that too.”

As they headed downstairs, Star asked, “So, how are you planning to take a factory? You know if you seize any civilian factory and start cranking out ‘mechs, they’ll call Aegis, right?”

Jason grinned. “That’s why we’re not going to take a civilian factory.”

“But a military one would be even—”

Jason held up a hand. “We’re going to take one from the Marauders.”

“Oh.” Star paused. “You are insane, aren’t you?”
