The Ultimate Chronicle - Part 7

Space/Time Lincoln stormed into the fray, swinging his nonfunctional gauntlets. Even broken, the heavy steel allowed him to smash Babbage’s clockwork creatures, thinning their ranks. As Tesla’s Autoviathan plowed into the mechanical army, the head in the vat turned toward the still corpse of Marie Antoinette, and his robotic voice said, “Not again. Not like this.”

Though Musashi Miyamoto was the better swordsman, Richard I riding on a giant steel horse held him at bay, his steed’s mass swallowing the electrical discharge of the gauntlets Musashi wore. Finally, Musashi leaped into the air like a rocket, a flock of pigeons flying behind him as he neatly chopped the English king in half, sending his pieces falling to the ground.

“These gauntlets will serve you better than me,” said Miyamoto, handing the Gauntlets of the Electromancer to Space/Time Abe Lincoln.

“I smell Rasputin’s hand in this,” said Lincoln. “I shall emancipate his head from his body when we meet again! Now, we go into the Twelfth Dimension!”
