Sessions With The Counselor

“I hate her so much I just want her to die.” the client coldly stated.

After a long pause, sitting motionless and just staring at his client, the counselor replied. “No, I disagree.” He started. “I sense there is so much more brewing here. You quickly state your venomous hatred toward this person yet you pause when admitting the love you claim you once had for her. You relax when remembering moments you shared, moments you cherished, moments you will never let your heart forget.” The counselor shook his head softly. “No my son, you do not hate her. You never crossed that fine line between love and hate. You want to hate her however your heart will not let that happen.” So now you are caught in her web of love but you desire to know what it is like to view her web from the outside, from the rest of the world’s perspective.”

The client stared intently, blinked, and then stammered his response. “No! No! You have it all wrong!”
